Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Loot Pool: New, Returning and Vaulted Weapons

The Runners season reshuffles the entire weapon lineup across Fortnite Battle Royale and Reload. Four guns enter the main loot pool at launch, six familiar weapons return, and the Reload mode gets its own batch of new Morphite weapons alongside a long list of vaulted and unvaulted items.

Quick answer: Battle Royale adds the Extending Focus Shotgun, Surgical Burst Rifle, Chaos Exploder Rifle, and Lancehead Pistol at launch, with the Bank Shot Pistol arriving later. Reload introduces three Morphite weapons, unvaults eight items, and vaults eight others when Chapter 7 Season 3 goes live on June 6, 2026.

New Battle Royale weapons in Chapter 7 Season 3

Four weapons drop into the standard loot pool the moment the season starts. Each one fills a different role, from long-range shotgun pressure to a pistol that turns its own magazine into a thrown weapon.

WeaponBehavior
Extending Focus ShotgunLong-range shotgun. The barrel lengthens and the spread tightens across a 3-round volley.
Surgical Burst RifleBurst-fire rifle with low recoil and very little damage falloff.
Chaos Exploder RifleThe Dark Voyager's heavy AR. Fires explosive cubes and is strongest against players in cover.
Lancehead PistolJohn Wick's sidearm with a 21-round magazine. Throw the magazine at nearby enemies while reloading for extra damage.

One more weapon joins later in the season rather than at launch. The Bank Shot Pistol ricochets rounds off surfaces, letting you bounce shots around walls and line up trick shots on targets you can't hit directly.

Returning weapons in the Chapter 7 Season 3 loot pool

Six previously available weapons come back to fill out the core lineup. These cover the standard close, mid, and long-range slots so loadouts stay balanced alongside the new arrivals.

  • Striker Pump
  • Maven Auto Shotgun
  • Ranger Pistol
  • Stinger SMG
  • Hunting Rifle
  • Chaos Reloader Shotgun

Two movement items also round out the toolkit. Seven Sliders let you slide faster than running, slow time when you aim down sights mid-slide, and launch you upward with built-in jets. Shock Rocks arrive later in the season and grant three midair jumps when crushed.

Fortnite Reload loot pool: New, vaulted, and unvaulted weapons

Reload gets the most dramatic loot overhaul this season. Three brand-new Morphite weapons join the pool, while eight items leave and eight others come back. The change goes live with the v41.00 update on June 6.

The three new Morphite weapons are the headline additions for Reload:

  • Morphite Hammer Assault Rifle
  • Morphite Sentinel Shotgun
  • Morphite Mammoth Pistol

Reload starting loadout changes that affect the loot pool

Reload no longer hands you the same generic kit every time you respawn. The gear you start with now scales up at three points during a match, so late-game reboots come back with far stronger weapons.

PhaseStarting loadout
Early gameCommon Assault Rifle
Mid gameMorphite Heavy Assault Rifle, Morphite SMG, 1 Mini Shield
Late gameMorphite Assault Rifle, Tactical Shotgun, 1 Mini Shield, 2 Chug Splashes

Reload Zero Build also drops lethal fall damage. Instead of being eliminated by a long fall, you land at 1 HP and lose your shields. You can also cut your glider lower to the ground for a faster drop.

How to confirm the new loot pool is live

You will know the season has rolled over once the v41.00 update finishes downloading and the Runners season screen appears on the main menu. From there, the new weapons appear as floor loot and in chests during matches, and Reload's loadouts swap to the progressive kits above on your next respawn.

A handful of items are gated behind later updates rather than launch day. The Bank Shot Pistol, Shock Rocks, and the season's Bus Exfil win condition all arrive after the season begins, so don't expect to find them in the loot pool right away.
