Five community-made Sprites are joining Fortnite as Chapter 7 Season 4 begins, and they are the winning entries from the Design a Sprite contest. Each one was created by a member of the Fortnite community, and all five will be collectible in the game once the new season goes live.

Quick answer: The five winning Sprites are the Bullet Sprite, Dumpster Dive Sprite, Honey Sprite, Pond Sprite, and X-Ray Sprite. They should be collectible starting August 20, when Fortnite Override launches Chapter 7 Season 4.

All five Design a Sprite winners and their effects

There are five winning Sprites in total, each tied to the community member who designed it. Their final look and effects may still change before or shortly after launch, so treat the details below as the current plan rather than a locked-in version.

The X-Ray Sprite entry came from Avila215, whose original concept showed a Sprite that can see enemies through walls for a brief window.

Enorull’s Bullet Sprite, which boosts the ammo you get from Ammo Boxes, was one of the other winning submissions posted during the contest.

When you can collect the new Sprites

All five winning Sprites should be available to collect starting August 20, timed to the launch of Fortnite Override and the start of Chapter 7 Season 4. Sprites are continuing into the new season, so these designs slot into the same collection system players already know.

You will know a Sprite is yours once it appears in your collection after you catch it in-game, the same way the season’s other Sprites are tracked.

What happens to your Chapter 7 Season 3 Sprites

Older Sprites carry over into Chapter 7 Season 4, but not into Battle Royale on day one. Instead, every Sprite you have collected moves into the Sprite Garden, a separate space where you can use them and show them off in your own garden sanctuary.

Your Chapter 7 Season 3 Sprites also stay usable as styles for the Sprite Mastery Pod Back Bling and as pilots in the Guardian Outfit, and they remain in your collection. Epic has said these older Sprites may return to Battle Royale at a later point, which would let you catch and use them outside of the Sprite Garden again.

How the Design a Sprite contest worked

The winners came out of Epic’s Concept Royale event, which invited players to design their own Sprite concepts. Submissions ran from June 17 to July 1, 2026, with entries posted to X, Instagram, or TikTok using the #DesignASprite hashtag, or to the r/FortniteBR subreddit with the Design A Sprite flair. Each person could submit up to two original designs.

Entries were judged on three equally weighted categories, unique use of theme, fun factor, and overall visuals, each worth up to five points. Winning designers were set to receive a $2,500 cash prize alongside seeing their Sprite built into the game.

With the five winners now confirmed and heading into the game, the Design a Sprite lineup gives players a set of fan-made creatures to chase down once Chapter 7 Season 4 opens.
