What Holofoil Sprites do
Every Holofoil Sprite carries a bonus effect that increases your chance to find variant Sprites, including Gold, Gummy, Galaxy, and other Holofoils. The boost is a 5% chance for your squad to find rare Sprite variants when looting chests. Take one with you and the hunt for hard-to-get Sprites gets noticeably easier.
They are also slightly easier to track down than Gold Sprites, which makes them a practical first pickup for filling out your collection. New Sprites and variants remain on the Island for the rest of the Season, so there is no hard cutoff to worry about.
Note: When you land a Holofoil, use a Portable Extractor instead of a fixed Extraction Site. The portable option pulls the Sprite in about five seconds wherever you stand, which lowers the risk of another player stealing it mid-extraction.
