The Vini Jr. Sprite is a Mythic companion tied to the Vinícius Júnior Icon Series skin, and it landed with the v41.20 update as part of Chapter 7 Season 3. It turns your slide into a weapon and speeds up your gun handling after you knock an enemy over, which makes it one of the more aggressive Sprites in the current pool. The catch is that it is also one of the hardest to actually find.
Quick answer: Open Sprite Chests (and Rare Chests) across the Chapter 7 Season 3 map until the Vini Jr. Sprite drops, equip it, then carry it to an Extraction Site or use a Portable Extractor before you die. You will see an “Added to Collection” confirmation once it is locked in permanently.
Where the Vini Jr. Sprite drops
There is no fixed spawn point. Like most Sprites, the Vini Jr. Sprite is a random loot drop, so it can appear anywhere Sprites come from on the island. Because it carries Mythic rarity, the odds from any single container are low, and you may open dozens of chests over several matches before one shows up.
Sprite Chests give you the best shot, since they always contain at least one Sprite and roll from the higher-rarity pool. The table below ranks your realistic sources.
| Source | Chance of Vini Jr. Sprite |
|---|---|
| Sprite Chest | Best odds for a Mythic Sprite |
| Rare Chest | Possible, lower odds |
| Regular chest | Very low |
| Defeated player | Whatever Sprite they were carrying |

If another player already grabbed one, eliminating them drops the Sprite for you to pick up, which is sometimes faster than fighting the chest RNG. You can also trade for it. The Sprite has been live in matches since it went active, so it is fully obtainable right now.
One reliable route is the lighthouse at Calamari Canyon, which stacks several chests plus a Sprite Chest on the platform below the balcony. Landing near clusters of Sprite Chests and looting as many as possible before the storm forces you to move is the single biggest thing you can do to improve your odds each match.
Extract the Sprite or you lose it
Finding the Vini Jr. Sprite is only half the job. Until you extract it, it does not belong to you, and getting eliminated first sends it away with everything else you were carrying.
Note: Carrying a Portable Extractor lets you secure the Sprite the moment you find it, instead of trying to survive all the way to a fixed Extraction Site.
What the Vini Jr. Sprite does
The Sprite rewards aggressive, close-range play. After you sprint for a short stretch, your next slide becomes destructive and damages both enemies and structures you slam into. Land a successful slide-kick and your rate of fire and reload speed both jump temporarily. You also gain an Overdrive effect while sliding and extra structure damage while sprinting.
Without the Sprite equipped, sliding into someone only shoves them a short distance and deals no damage, so the offensive payoff is tied entirely to having Vini Jr. active. Its numbers climb as you level it up.
| Level | Slide damage | Fire rate boost |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 40 | 10% |
| 2 | 45 | 20% |
| 3 | 50 | 30% |
| 4 | 55 | 40% |
| 5 | 60 | 50% |
The Sprite summons at no Sprite Dust cost once you own it, so there is no resource barrier to running it every match. At higher levels the mix of a hard-hitting slide and a faster-firing weapon makes it strong for players who like to close distance and slide-kick rather than hold back.
Rarity and a reward for mastering it
Vini Jr. sits in the Mythic tier and does not spawn in the special Gold, Gummy, Galaxy, or Holofoil finishes, so the base Sprite itself is the collectible. That, combined with a very low drop rate, is why it ranks among the rarest Sprites in the season.
There is also a payoff for leveling it. Epic is handing out the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N Line vehicle to players who master either a Vini Jr. or Striker Sprite, which means taking one to Level 5 and extracting it before the event window closes. During that window, Vini Jr. and Striker spawn rates are boosted and Sprite XP is doubled, which is the fastest stretch to both find one and rank it up.
If the Sprite is not turning up, keep prioritizing Sprite Chests over regular loot and stick to a drop route that passes several of them per match. That is the quickest way to land a Mythic like Vini Jr. before the circle closes in.
