A hidden audio cue at the Wonkeeland POI has quietly turned into the first real teaser for Fortnite’s Gaming Legends season. Stand in the right spot and you will hear Pac-Man’s unmistakable intro jingle looping in the background, the same tune Bandai Namco has used since the arcade era. It arrived with the v41.30 update and lines up with a wave of gaming crossovers already sitting in the game files.

Quick answer: Go to Wonkeeland and climb onto the roof of the building that overlooks the roller coaster and the park. Standing there triggers Pac-Man’s intro music, which loops in the background.

How to hear the Pac-Man easter egg at Wonkeeland

Drop into a match on the current Chapter 7 Season 3 map and head to the Wonkeeland POI.
Find the building that sits next to the amusement park and get onto its roof, positioned so you are looking out over the roller coaster and the rest of the park.
Turn up your in-game audio and listen. Pac-Man’s intro music plays on a loop while you stand in that area, confirming you are in the right spot.

The clip below shows the easter egg in action, captured shortly after v41.30 went live.

Why the music points to a Gaming Legends season

Epic Games has a long habit of planting environmental clues before a crossover goes public, and this one fits the pattern. Rather than a formal announcement, the developer dropped a familiar sound at a single location and let players find it. The Pac-Man cue is the audio version of a poster teaser, and it arrived alongside data pointing to a broader retro theme for Chapter 7 Season 4.

Encrypted files uncovered in the latest update name several gaming icons tied to the season. In-game posters themed around Sonic the Hedgehog are also expected to appear on the island in the run-up, reinforcing that this is a full crossover season rather than a one-off skin.

Gaming characters found in the files

Pac-Man is only the first name attached to the season. The following characters and franchises have surfaced from datamined files for the Gaming Legends season.

CharacterGame or franchise
Pac-ManBandai Namco
Sonic the HedgehogSega
Dr. EggmanSega
JokerPersona 5
MegamanCapcom
TetrisTetris Company

How each of these appears is still open. A Battle Pass slot for Pac-Man is likely, though his form is unclear given he has no traditional body. If the Sprite system carries into the new season, some of these icons could also arrive as their own Sprites that follow you around the map.

Pac-Man’s earlier Fortnite crossover

This is not Pac-Man’s first appearance in Fortnite. He crossed over back in Chapter 3 as a limited-time reactive Back Bling, but a full skin has never been added. The Wonkeeland teaser suggests that could finally change when the Gaming Legends season begins, though Epic has not confirmed how he will be represented. Until then, the roof at Wonkeeland is the one place to hear the tune for yourself.
