Fortnite Sprite Spree: How to Unlock Free Mythic Sprites (Zero Point and John Wick)

Finish four event quests before the season ends to claim the Peely, John Wick, Zero Point, and Gem Zero Point Sprites at no cost.

Finish four event quests before the season ends to claim the Peely, John Wick, Zero Point, and Gem Zero Point Sprites at no cost.

The Sprite Spree event hands out four sought-after Sprites for free, including two Mythics tied to Zero Point and John Wick. Everything runs through a short quest list, and the whole thing is on a timer, so the fastest path is knowing exactly what each quest wants and how to knock out the extraction targets in a single run.

Quick answer: Complete all four Sprite Spree quests before the event ends on August 20 to unlock the Peely Sprite (reach top 10), the John Wick Sprite (30 eliminations), the Zero Point Sprite (extract 20 Sprites), and the Gem Zero Point Sprite (extract 30 Sprites).

Sprite Spree quests and their rewards

The event page lists four quests, each granting two copies of a Sprite when finished. Two of the rewards are Mythic (Zero Point and John Wick), one is a Special variant (Gem Zero Point), and the Peely Sprite comes from the simplest objective.

QuestTargetReward
Reach 10 players remaining0/12 Peely Sprite
Eliminate players0/302 John Wick Sprite (Mythic)
Extract Sprites0/202 Zero Point Sprite (Mythic)
Extract Sprites0/302 Gem Zero Point Sprite (Special)

The two extraction quests stack, so every Sprite you extract counts toward both the 20 and 30 totals at the same time. In practice, hitting 30 extractions clears both quests and earns the Zero Point and Gem Zero Point Sprites together.

What each Mythic Sprite does

The rewards are worth chasing for their passive effects, not just the collection value. Here is what the standout Sprites bring into a match.

SpriteRarityEffect
Zero PointMythicSpawns a Shield Bubble Jr. when you use a healing item on yourself (excluding splashes and grenades).
Gem Zero PointSpecialSame Shield Bubble Jr. heal effect, plus 30% less fall damage.
John WickMythicKnocking players reveals other enemies nearby.

The Zero Point Sprite’s bubble covers you while you medkit or slurp, which cuts down on deaths taken mid-heal during rotations and in the closing zone. The Gem variant layers on fall-damage reduction on top of that same defensive perk.

How Sprite extraction counts toward the quests

Extraction is the gate on the two biggest rewards, so it pays to understand how the counter works before you drop in.

Collect Sprites during the match. They come from Sprite Chests (often glowing purple), from Sprites floating in the world such as water areas, and from Sprite Hunt rift anomalies that let you dig up a buried chest with a guaranteed Sprite inside.
Equip a Sprite from your collection before you queue. Bringing one into the match adds to your extraction total when you successfully extract, so you can bank an extra count each game.
Head to an extraction site, marked by a blue beam of light, and call an extraction crate. Stand on the platform and hold your position until the extraction finishes.

You will know it worked when the match tally confirms the number of Sprites extracted and the quest progress updates in the Sprite Spree menu. The most common reason the count does not move is dying before the extraction completes, so treat the platform time as the risk window and clear nearby threats first.

Fast Sprite farming route

A single Zero Build Solo run can bank a full stack of Sprites if you chain locations with rifts and vehicles. This route starts at the Zero Point and works its way across the island.

Land in the desert near the Zero Point, close to Cavernous Canyon. Grab shock rocks for mobility and check the tops of the rock formations for Sprite Chests.

Use the Zero Point rift to jump north. Look under trees along the way for purple-glowing Sprite Chests, which is where Sprites like Punk and Dream turn up near Frosted Flats.
Move east toward Golden Grove using a vehicle such as the Cybertruck or a jump pad. Search under trees again for more chests, and check the river for a Sprite floating in the water.
Swing by the Carwash area and the lake near Shaken Sanctuary. If a Sprite Hunt rift anomaly appears here, take it and dig up the buried chest for a guaranteed Sprite.
Once you have a stack, go to the nearest extraction site, call the crate, and extract everything at once. Extracting quickly matters because Mythics can draw third parties to the beam.

Sprite Spree Week schedule

The event closes out the current chapter with a run of themed daily hours before Season 4 arrives. Each day highlights a different Sprite variant type.

DateEvent
Saturday, Aug 15Unstable Story Moment and Mythic Hours (2 PM ET)
Sunday, Aug 16Galaxy Hours all day
Monday, Aug 17Holo Hours all day
Tuesday, Aug 18Cube Hours all day
Wednesday, Aug 19Gem Hours all day
Thursday, Aug 20Chapter 7 Season 4 “Override” launch

Note: The Gem Punk Sprite shown in the schedule graphic does not exist and was scrapped, so do not plan a farming session around it.

The clock is the real pressure here. All four quests wrap when the season ends on August 20, so prioritize the two extraction quests first since they gate both Zero Point Sprites, then mop up eliminations and a top-10 finish across a few matches. Equip a Sprite before every drop, chain the farming route, and extract before the beam pulls in company.
