What the Nike emote does, how the Kicks footwear cosmetic works, and where the Street Vision set fits in.

Nike’s presence in Fortnite runs across emotes, footwear, cosmetics, and a wider apparel-inspired set. The “Fresh Out The Box” emote is the dance most players associate with the collaboration, while the “Kicks” feature added wearable Nike and Jordan Brand sneakers to outfits. Here is how each piece works and where it fits in the timeline.

Quick answer: “Fresh Out The Box” is a Fortnite x Nike emote that became available during Chapter 5 Season 2 (Myths and Mortals). Open the Item Shop when it is listed to buy it, then equip it from the Emotes tab in your locker.

Fresh Out The Box emote

“Fresh Out The Box” is an emote tied directly to the Nike collaboration. It surfaced during Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, the Myths and Mortals season, and plays as a short sneaker-themed dance. As an emote, it equips into one of your emote wheel slots and can be used in any mode that allows emotes.

To equip it, head to the Locker, open the Emotes section, and assign “Fresh Out The Box” to a slot. Once it is in your wheel, you can trigger it in a match like any other dance. If it does not appear in your locker, you have not yet acquired it from the Item Shop while it was listed.

Kicks: Nike and Jordan footwear cosmetics

Beyond emotes, Nike and Jordan Brand partnered with Epic Games as a launch partner for “Kicks,” a footwear cosmetic that became available in Fortnite on November 21, 2024. Kicks let you swap the shoes on your character’s outfit, treating sneakers as their own customizable cosmetic slot.

The opening lineup mixed recognizable Nike and Jordan Brand silhouettes with Fortnite originals, so you can pair real-world shoe designs with existing outfits. This was Nike’s continued move to bring its footwear into platforms where players already spend time, building on earlier Nike and Jordan Brand gaming efforts.

Nike Street Vision set

A wider Nike “Street Vision” set has circulated as an early showcase, built around an urban, futuristic look. It is described as covering skins, an emote, back blings, pickaxes, and wraps, rather than a single item.

Note: Street Vision details have appeared through early previews and are not confirmed shop listings. Treat the contents and any timing as unconfirmed until they show up officially in the game.

How to get the Nike cosmetics

Open the Item Shop from the main menu and look for the Nike-branded entries while they are featured. Collaboration items rotate, so a given emote or footwear option is only purchasable when it is actively listed.
Buy the item you want using V-Bucks. The purchase adds it permanently to your account, even after it leaves the shop rotation.
Go to the Locker and equip it. Emotes go in your emote wheel, and Kicks attach to an outfit’s footwear slot. You will know it worked when the item shows as equipped in the locker preview and appears on your character in a match.

If an item is not in your locker, the most common reason is simply that you have not purchased it yet, or it is not currently in the active shop rotation. Nike continues to publish its gaming news and product drops through its .SWOOSH platform and the @dotSWOOSH channels, which is where new in-game tie-ins are announced.
