Forza Horizon 6 Winter Season: Shimanoyama Region Treasure Hunt Chest Location

The Winter Season Treasure Hunt in the British Automotive series of Forza Horizon 6 hands you a photo clue instead of a map pin. The picture shows a snowy field beside a mountain road in the Shimanoyama Region, and smashing the hidden chest rewards 100,000 CR plus three Season Points toward this week’s unlockable vehicles.

Quick answer: Fast travel to the Lake View Speed Trap on the Izu Skyline in southern Shimanoyama, turn around, drive southeast, and ram the chest sitting in the snow on the left side of the road.

What you need before searching

The chest only becomes reachable once you can see the surrounding events on the map. Confirm these before you set off.

Access to the British Automotive series, Winter Season, in the Festival Playlist.
The Orange Wristband, which reveals the Lake View Speed Trap in the region.
Any car, since you will drive off the paved road to reach the field.

Shimanoyama Region chest location

The chest is in the southern part of the Shimanoyama Region, in the western mountains above the main coastal city. Scroll the map to the Lake View Speed Trap along the Izu Skyline road, with the Taiyaki Scramble Dirt Racing event sitting to its east. The chest rests in a snow-and-grass field to the west of the Izu Skyline and east of the lake, near a bend in the road.

How to reach and smash the chest

Open the Festival Playlist, switch to the Winter Season tab, and select the British Automotive series. Find the Treasure Hunt Shimanoyama Region tile marked “Follow the Photo Clue to Discover the Treasure!”

Open the World Map and pan to the western mountains in the south of Shimanoyama. Select the Lake View Speed Trap on the Izu Skyline and fast travel to it.

Once you arrive, turn your car around and start driving southeast along the road. Keep your speed down so you can spot the field on the left.

Watch the left side of the road for the brightly colored chest in the snow. Leave the pavement, drive through the wooden fence, and steer into the field.

Ram your car straight into the chest to break it open and collect the reward.

You can also fast travel to the Taiyaki Scramble Dirt Racing event, go south, then take the first right available. Look for the chest beside the road on your right.

Confirm the treasure hunt is complete

Hitting the chest triggers the on-screen banner “TREASURE CHEST FOUND! YOU FOUND CR 100,000!” Back in the Festival Playlist, the Shimanoyama Region Treasure Hunt card switches to a gold Complete ribbon, and the map now shows the chest as collected at the road bend. Those three markers together confirm the credits and Season Points have landed.

Sotoyama Region Winter treasure hunt

The same Winter Season lineup also runs a Treasure Hunt in the Sotoyama Region, again worth 100,000 CR. Its chest sits beside a small wooden shack on a snowy mountain path rather than in an open field.

Open the World Map to the snowy Sotoyama mountains, set a route to the shack on the mountain path, then drive up and crash through its fence into the chest to trigger the same completion banner.
