FUT is a Roblox football game that leans hard into realism, and its national-team matches are the closest thing it has to a World Cup mode. You pick a country, load into a small-sided match against another nation, and try to score before your stamina runs out. Recent sessions have paired teams like Norway against Argentina and England against France, with players trading goals and pulling out flashy celebrations after each one.

Quick answer: FUT is an original, pre-alpha ro-football game on Roblox where you play as national teams such as Argentina, England, and France. It is its own project and is not affiliated with FIFA or the official FIFA World Cup 2026 event running in FIFA Super Soccer.

What FUT is on Roblox

FUT is built by FUT: Group and is still in an early pre-alpha phase, tagged in-game as Alpha. The whole point is an authentic football feel, with advanced mechanics, competitive matches, and a lot of small details aimed at players who take the sport seriously. It is an original build, and the developers are clear that it is not endorsed by any real football organization.

Even in pre-alpha, it has pulled a sizeable crowd. Here is where the game stands right now.

Playing World Cup matches as national teams

The World Cup feel in FUT comes from lining up as one country against another. Matches start in a lobby where both benches are labeled with the team names, then players spread across the pitch in each nation’s kit. Norway and Argentina line up in white, while England (white) and France (blue) show off their own colors when they meet.

Sides are small, with a squad list of around eight players split across the two teams, so games move fast and goals come in bunches. A single striker can carry a match, running from midfield, beating a defender, and finishing into the top corner or through the keeper’s legs. Expect scorelines to swing quickly rather than grind out to a nil-nil.

Note: This is separate from FIFA Super Soccer, the official FIFA-licensed game on Roblox that is running the FIFA World Cup 2026 event with all 48 national teams. FUT is its own thing, so kits, teams, and mechanics work differently.

FUT controls: shoot, pass, tackle, and dribble

The action bar at the bottom of the screen holds everything you need to move the ball and win it back. Learning when to use each one is what separates a clean finish from a blocked shot.

ButtonWhat it does
SHOOTStrikes the ball at goal, from tap-ins to long-range efforts.
PASSPlays a short ball to a teammate.
LONGSends a longer ball up the pitch.
TACKLEChallenges an opponent to win the ball back.
DRIBBLEKeeps close control and sets up skill moves to beat defenders.

Goal celebrations in FUT

Score, and a celebrate menu pops up so you can react before play restarts. The options come with their own animations and effects, from sliding poses to glowing particle trails behind your avatar.

Injuries and stamina in FUT

Two systems keep you honest on the pitch. A stamina bar sits on screen and drains as you sprint and dribble, so you cannot run flat out the whole match. Manage it, and you will still have a burst left when you need to break into the box.

Tackling has a risk attached. Win a challenge but get caught in a return tackle, and an INJURED status bar with a countdown timer appears at the bottom of the screen. You are stuck on the ground until that timer clears, which can hand the other team a chance while you recover.

For now, FUT is worth trying if you want a more grounded football sim than the arcade-style soccer games that dominate Roblox, with national-team matchups standing in for a proper World Cup mode. Just remember it is still pre-alpha, so features and mechanics can shift between updates as the FUT: Group keeps building it out.
