Gakuran: How to Get a Job and Earn Yen in Roblox

Money in Gakuran runs on Yen, the in-world currency you earn by taking shifts through the in-game phone. Work is handled entirely through the Indeed app, and payment moves between players through the Yenapp. Yen is completely separate from Robux, so nothing you earn on a shift touches your real-money balance.

How to get a job through the Indeed app

The Indeed app is the only way to sign on for paid work. It behaves like a job board, so you browse listings, pick one, and commit to a shift with a set time and payout.

Open your phone. On PC, press Alt to pull out the flip phone. On mobile, use the on-screen phone button.

Find and tap the Indeed icon. It sits in the bottom-left area of the phone’s app grid, alongside options like Messages, Contacts, and Music.

Scroll the list of open positions and pick one that fits your schedule. Each listing shows its location, shift window, duration, pay, and how many spots are still open. A 7-Eleven Mart shift, for example, may run 5:00PM to 7:49PM for ¥800 with 2 of 2 spots free.

Press Apply at the bottom of the shift details screen to lock in the job.

Travel to the workplace shown on the map and arrive at the marked time. Head to the backroom with the lockers and interact with them to clock in. Your outfit swaps to the workplace uniform, which confirms your shift has started.

Take your position, such as behind the register, and stay on-site until the shift timer ends. Yen is paid out when the shift completes.

Job locations and what each role involves

Different workplaces pay different wages and run on different hours. Entry-level roles offer steady pay, while night and specialty spots can bring more social traffic and better tips. Check Indeed often, since open spots change.

Sending and receiving Yen with the Yenapp

Once you have Yen, the Yenapp handles player-to-player transfers instantly, similar to a mobile payment service. Each player picks a unique Yen Tag that works as a payment ID, and you can check your current balance from the app at any time.

Open your phone with Alt and select the Yen app.

Search for the recipient’s Yen Tag, or pick them from your saved contacts.

Enter the amount you want to send and confirm the payment. To receive money, share your own Yen Tag so others can send to it.

Note: transfers are final. There are no chargebacks, so only send Yen to players you trust.

Why a shift might not pay out

If you finish a shift and see no Yen, a few specific conditions usually explain it. Rule these out before assuming something is broken.

You are on a private or VIP server. Job payouts may not process there, so test work on a public server first.
You are still in combat stance. Exit it by pressing T before opening phone apps, or the job functions will not work.
You left the workplace before the shift timer ended, so the payout never triggered.
