Flamefeather Valley holds 15 Cryoculus, the Cryo oculi you turn in at Snezhnaya’s Statue of the Seven. This warm, autumn-colored underground pocket of Snezhnaya hides its oculi across tents, wooden towers, caves, a sewer, and the Hall of Prayers, and several of them sit high in the air or behind barriers that only open once you have the right traversal tools.
Quick answer: Finish the In the Dwelling of Life World Quest chain to unlock Flamefeather Valley and its mechanics, then collect all 15 Cryoculus using launching platforms and grapple sigils. You will need a couple of them to raise the region’s Statue of the Seven.

Unlock the area first
Flamefeather Valley is gated behind the In the Dwelling of Life World Quest, which starts by approaching the Volkodlak on the frozen pond southwest of the Statue of the Seven in Morepesok. That chain opens the underground region tied to Okurov and Teeming Mire, and its combat runs through the elemental firearms (TPS) mode.
Clear the main story and this quest line before you hunt oculi. Doing so guarantees you have the launching platforms, grapple mechanic, and key items that several Cryoculus depend on. If you try to grab everything early, a few markers will simply be out of reach.

The table below lists each Cryoculus with where it sits and how you reach it. Work through them in a single sweep, since many share the same tents, towers, and rooftops.

|---|---|
| 1 | Inside a tent in Flamefeather Valley. |
| 2 | On a snowy ledge next to a wooden structure. |
| 3 | On a wooden platform structure. |
| 4 | Floating high in the air; use a launching platform to reach it. |
| 5 | Inside a cave, floating above a Cryo Slime. |
| 6 | Floating above a broken railway track. |
| 7 | On top of a tall tent in the colorful forest area. |
| 8 | Inside the underground sewer and pipe system. |
| 9 | Floating above a building roof; use the grapple mechanic to get up. |
| 10 | High above a village rooftop; reached with the grapple mechanic. |
| 11 | Inside a wooden tower structure. |
| 12 | Inside a wooden tower; build a launching platform to reach it. |
| 13 | Floating above a wooden platform. |
| 14 | Inside the Hall of Prayers, behind a breakable wall. |
| 15 | Inside the Hall of Prayers, floating high near a platform. |

Traversal tools you will use
Three mechanics cover almost every hard-to-reach oculus in Flamefeather Valley. Sorting them out ahead of time keeps the run smooth.
- Launching platforms fling you upward toward the airborne oculi (numbers 4 and 12). For number 12 you build the platform inside the tower before launching.
- Grapple sigils pull you onto rooftops for numbers 9 and 10, both of which float above buildings.
- Breakable barriers block number 14 in the Hall of Prayers. Destroy the wall in front of it, then collect the oculus behind it.
Note: If a marker shows on the mini-map but you cannot see the oculus, check the vertical arrow on the pin. Flamefeather Valley stacks several layers, so the collectible is often directly above you or tucked inside a cave or the sewer below.
How to confirm you got them all
Each pickup shows an “Obtained Cryoculus x 1” prompt. To track the full set without missing one, enable Cryoculus markers on the official Genshin Impact interactive map, select Snezhnaya, and hide each pin as you clear it. Whatever pins remain are the oculi you still owe.
If a Cryoculus refuses to appear, it is usually because the surrounding World Quest step is not finished, the breakable wall is still intact, or you have not built or triggered the launching platform for that spot. Clear those conditions and the oculus becomes reachable.

What the Cryoculus are for
Cryoculus collected across Snezhnaya are offered to the region’s Statue of the Seven to raise its level. Each level pays out Primogems, Cryo Sigils, Adventure EXP, Mora, and Shrine of Depths Keys, along with Acquaint Fate at certain tiers. Flamefeather Valley’s 15 count toward the 140 available in Version 7.0, which is enough to push the statue to Level 6 with some to spare.
Grab these 15 as part of a wider Snezhnaya sweep and the statue rewards add up quickly. Since the valley is compact, it is one of the faster sub-regions to fully clear once the World Quest opens it up.
