In Genshin Impact Version 7.1, Group D closes the opening bracket’s four Round of 16 groups in Predictive Victory Dynamics. Players can wager on two additional simulated monster battles, whose victors complete the quarterfinal lineup. The group began on October 15, and its separate 24-hour timer expires when the results are settled.
Quick answer: In Group D, Match 1 pairs What Does the Ninken Say? with Simple-Soul Hilichurl Fighters, while Match 2 pits Ultra-Ancient Heavy Assault Formation against Round-and-Frost Assault. Place your 100 Victory Emblems before the round timer runs out.
Group D matchups, support rates, and multipliers
Both fights put a crowd favorite against an underdog. The Support Rate shows how players have spread their emblems so far, while the multiplier is the figure your wager is multiplied by if that side wins. A side with fewer backers carries a larger multiplier, so a correct underdog call pays much more than following the crowd.
| Match | Team | Support Rate | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Match 1 | What Does the Ninken Say? | 75% | 30x |
| Match 1 | Simple-Soul Hilichurl Fighters | 25% | 105x |
| Match 2 | Ultra-Ancient Heavy Assault Formation | 35% | 70x |
| Match 2 | Round-and-Frost Assault | 65% | 35x |
Match 1 lines up an armored canine against a masked Hilichurl group, with What Does the Ninken Say? sitting as the heavy favorite at a 30x return. Match 2 sets a large mechanical formation against an icy Slime, and the matchup leans on that size gap between the small Slime team and the heavy machinery. Round-and-Frost Assault is the favored side there.
Rather than commit all 100 emblems to a single fight, many players divide them evenly, placing 50 on each. For Group D, that split means choosing What Does the Ninken Say? in Match 1 and Round-and-Frost Assault in Match 2—the popular options, each with a modest multiplier.

A high Support Rate doesn’t secure victory: the simulator settles fights according to fixed rules, not votes. Support Rate cannot change combat, and it locks four hours before the round ends. Your final score is based on the winning team, the number of emblems you placed, and that team’s multiplier.

Outcomes hinge on counter matchups. Among unit classes, Ranged beats Melee, Melee beats Fly, and Fly beats Ranged. Attack patterns run their own chain: Squad beats Single-Target, Single-Target beats AoE, and AoE beats Squad. Unit count, Max HP, and ATK all factor in alongside those counters.
A single mechanic can decide a close fight: once combat lasts long enough, both teams start losing HP over time. A side that endures this ongoing damage can erase a slow lead, which means a smaller team with better stats and stalling tactics may outlast a larger swarm.
The event offers two reward tracks. Make a prediction while the round is active to finish its participation task; Group D’s task grants 20 Primogems and 6 Mystic Enhancement Ore. Collect the prize from the Prediction Rewards screen before the fights conclude.
Group D rewards and the participation milestone
Rewards come through two separate tracks. Any prediction placed while the round is underway fulfills its participation task; for Group D, the payout is 20 Primogems and 6 Mystic Enhancement Ore. Open Prediction Rewards to collect it while the matches are still unresolved.

Taking part in Group D moves your five-round participation counter to 4/5. Completing five rounds grants an additional 60 Primogems and 6 Mystic Enhancement Ore. Prediction Score has a separate tracker: points accumulate across rounds and unlock milestone tiers.
| Prediction Score | Reward |
|---|---|
| 2,000 | 40 Primogems, 2 Guide to Contention |
| 4,000 | 40 Primogems, 2 Guide to Kindling |
| 6,000 | 40 Primogems, 2 Guide to Conflict |
| 8,000 | 40 Primogems, 2 Guide to Contention |
| 10,000 | 40,000 Mora, 2 Guide to Kindling |
| 12,000 | 40,000 Mora, 2 Guide to Conflict |
Together, the event’s two reward tracks offer up to 420 Primogems, plus Mora, Hero’s Wit, Sanctifying Unction, and talent materials. Your Prediction Score changes only after you view the battle report; return once Group D finishes to settle the outcome and collect any tier you’ve unlocked.
Claim each round’s participation prize while that round is still active. When its 24-hour window closes, the points and reward are permanently forfeited, and late entry is not possible.
How the earlier groups landed
Group D begins after three groups that showed how unpredictable crowd picks can be. In Group A, Little Fungi Clan upset The Mysterious Howl Crew, while Saurians Are the Cutest toppled Frostarm and Shaman Formation with only 12 percent support. Players who backed both favorites still received a Round Score of 1,000, since a wrong pick returns 10 points per emblem.
Group B went the other way, as both teams with more support won. Mirror Fruity Order edged out Elemental Dye Experts, and Unofficial Blazing Beasts Members defeated Rude-a-Lot, Hats-a-Not. At a 35x multiplier, each correct 50-emblem pick brought 1,750 points; getting both right yielded a perfect Round Score of 3,500.
Group C gave each side one win. In Match 1, Reserve Grenadier Squad defeated Seahorse and Crab after the Fatui soldiers spread out to pressure the Fontemer Aberrants. The contest moved into its Vicious Battle phase, with HP draining from both teams, before the Fatui prevailed. A correct 50-emblem pick at 30x brought 1,500 points.

The upset came in Match 2. Consecrated Beast Frightfest held about 70 percent support and fielded a smaller roster of tougher units, opening with a synchronized strike of flaming feathers and spikes. A Little Chubby Crisis answered with numbers, spreading out to surround the beasts and using elemental immunity to stall. When continuous damage set in, the Slimes held on longer, leaving a Pyro Slime as the sole survivor. Even a failed 50-emblem bet on the beasts paid back 500 points.

Where Group D sits in the schedule
Group D is the last Round of 16 group, and its two winners fill the final quarterfinal places. Access requires Adventure Rank 20 and completion of the Prologue, Act III quest, with the board found at the Combat Simulator in Natlan’s Children of Echoes territory.
