Reserve Grenadier Squad won as expected, while the Slimes pulled off an overtime upset over the Consecrated Beasts.

Round of 16 Group C in Predictive Victory Dynamics, the combat prediction event in Genshin Impact Version 7.1, closed with one match going to the favorite and the other producing an upset. The two simulated fights pitted Reserve Grenadier Squad against Seahorse and Crab, and A Little Chubby Crisis against Consecrated Beast Frightfest.

Quick answer: Reserve Grenadier Squad beat Seahorse and Crab, and A Little Chubby Crisis beat Consecrated Beast Frightfest in a continuous-damage overtime, so backers of the Slimes missed Match 2 while Match 1 favorites were paid out.

Match 1: Reserve Grenadier Squad beats Seahorse and Crab

The Fatui soldiers of Reserve Grenadier Squad faced the Fontemer Aberrants of Seahorse and Crab. Reserve Grenadier Squad went in as the heavy favorite, holding a 75 percent support rate against 25 percent for the sea creatures.

The fight settled into the Vicious Battle phase, where both sides keep losing HP over time. The Fatui spread out to apply pressure through individual strength, and their high-HP melee units held up against the elemental-shielded Aberrants long enough to take the win.

Because the favored side won, anyone who backed Reserve Grenadier Squad scored a correct prediction. A wager of 50 Victory Emblems at the locked ×30 multiplier returned 1,500 points.

Match 2: A Little Chubby Crisis upsets Consecrated Beast Frightfest

Match 2 ran against the odds. Consecrated Beast Frightfest carried a 70 percent support rate on the strength of two Consecrated Beasts with higher HP and attack, while the elemental Slimes of A Little Chubby Crisis sat at just 30 percent.

The Slimes leaned on numbers and stalling. By splitting up, surrounding the beasts, and using elemental immunity to buy time, they dragged the fight into its final continuous-damage stage. With both sides bleeding HP, a Pyro Slime outlasted the larger beasts and took the match.

That result turned a prediction on Consecrated Beast Frightfest into a miss. A 50-Emblem wager on the beasts paid only the 500-point consolation value at a ×10 multiplier instead of a full win.

How Group C scored

Your points in each match depend on the winning side, how many Victory Emblems you placed, and the score multiplier locked in before the fight. Lower support rates carry higher multipliers, so backing an underdog pays more when it wins.

MatchWinnerWager / MultiplierPoints
Match 1Reserve Grenadier Squad50 × 301,500
Match 2A Little Chubby Crisis50 × 10 (missed)500

Both matches together produced a combined round score of 2,000 points. Added to a running total of 4,500, that pushed the Prediction Score up to 6,500.

The 6,000-point milestone reward

Crossing 6,500 unlocked the 6,000 Prediction Score milestone on the reward track. Claiming it hands over 40 Primogems along with two Guide to Conflict talent books.

These milestone tiers are separate from the per-round participation prizes. You know the claim landed when the milestone marks as collected in the reward window and the items arrive in your inventory.

What comes after Group C

Group D Round of 16 predictions are now open for two new matchups. What Does the Ninken Say? will battle Simple-Soul Hilichurl Fighters. Ultra-Ancient Heavy Assault Formation is set to meet Round-and-Frost Assault. These contests conclude the Round of 16 before play advances to the quarterfinals.

Each round stays open for its own 24-hour window, and a missed round cannot be claimed later. With Group C already settled, the remaining qualifying places run through Group D and into the quarterfinal rounds that follow.

The support rate and its multiplier lock at a set point before each fight, so a long shot that looks tempting earlier can shift before the bets close.

Group C is a clean example of how the event rewards reading the matchup rather than the odds. The favorite held in Match 1, but the overtime HP drain in Match 2 let a weaker-looking Slime squad outlast the Consecrated Beasts, turning the crowd’s pick into a miss.
