The Great Chase and Dispelling is the score-chasing traversal mode inside Genshin Impact’s Version 7.1 Moonchase event, Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon. Instead of fighting, you steer a rolling woven rattan warding figure down a fixed track across Liyue, scooping up Adeptal Energy while clearing away the purple miasmic energy that drags your score down. It runs across five separate stages, each with its own course and its own reward tiers.

Quick answer: Clear a stage with a Challenge Rating of at least 4000 to unlock every reward tier for it, and finish all five stages to earn the exclusive furnishing “Warding Figure: Silver Swallow, Evil-Bane.”

How a rattan figure run scores points

Your rattan figure advances by itself on a fixed route each run. Shift it left or right between lanes to collect the golden Adeptal Energy orbs, the source of your score. Rack up points until you pass the finish line.

Working against you is the dark purple miasmic energy. Touching it without any protection lowers your score, and some stretches of track are corrupted, which bleeds points steadily the longer you stay in them. That turns the mode into a balancing act between grabbing energy and staying clean.

Your main tool is the Protection skill, the rattan figure’s version of an Elemental Skill. Activating it makes the figure dash forward, destroying miasmic energy in its path and deflecting incoming Errant Balefire projectiles. A well-timed deflection registers as a Perfect Counter for bonus points. Protection isn’t free, though, since it drains Battle Energy.

Battle Energy comes from blue energy droplets and from passing through cyan Battle Energy Gates. Adeptal Energy Gates, by contrast, feed your score directly. Two extra gate types shape a good run: an Absorption Gate pulls nearby energy items toward you like a magnet, while an Empowerment Gate grants the Protection state for a short time without spending any Battle Energy.

The tightest sections tend to pair corruption with Errant Balefires, so entering a corrupted stretch with no Battle Energy left leaves you unable to counter or dispel anything.

Where the mode starts and what unlocks it

The mode is reached through Lan Ying at Yilong Wharf in Chenyu Vale. Speaking with her opens the challenge menu, from which you select a stage and teleport out to its glowing red challenge monolith in the open world. Interacting with that monolith and choosing Start Challenge begins the run.

Access to the wider Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon event requires Adventure Rank 20 and completion of the Archon Quest Prologue: Act III, Song of the Dragon and Freedom. The full event is live until October 12, 2026, so there is a window to clear every stage even after they all become available.

The five stages and their locations

The five courses opened on consecutive days and are spread across Liyue and Chenyu Vale. Each one has the same three Challenge Rating milestones (1000, 2000, and 4000), but its own track layout and hazard mix.

Fading Shadows in Mingyun Village

The opening course runs down the dirt roads and past the houses of Mingyun Village before dipping into a covered wooden tunnel. It introduces the basics: Adeptal Energy orbs, score-multiplier gates, an Empowerment buff in the tunnel, and an Absorption Gate near the end.

Enclosing Cliffs Near Qingce Village

The second stage sits along the coastal approach to Qingce Village. Its track threads through corrupted pathways, so holding Protection while you pick up the energy in those zones lets you speed through and leave before the corruption eats into your total.

Once the run starts, the figure rolls along rocky paths dotted with corruption effects, where Gathering and Protection buffs stack to keep the score climbing.

Lingering Echoes Through the Chasm

Stage three drops into The Chasm near its mining area, and this is where Errant Balefires become a real factor. Turning those Balefire attacks back with Protection active neutralizes the Evil Spirit that fires them and turns the threat into extra points.

Mournful Laments Upon Jademouth and Spectral Wilds Across Wuwang Hill

The fourth course, in Chenyu Vale south of Mt. Mingyuan, mixes curved tunnel sections, an underground cavern, and a lotus-lined waterway before its finish gate. The fifth and final course on Wuwang Hill leans on chaining Perfect Counters and staying clear of the evil energy scattered along the way. Both push scoring toward the same 4000 cap that unlocks their full reward sets.

Rewards for each stage

Every stage carries three reward tiers tied to your Challenge Rating. The tiers are cumulative, so reaching 4000 in a single run clears all three at once. Primogems are limited to the first tier, while Mora and character progression materials fill out the higher tiers.

Challenge RatingRewards (per stage)
At least 1000Primogems ×40, Festive Cheer ×40, plus a character material
At least 2000Festive Cheer ×40, Mora ×20,000, plus an enhancement material
At least 4000Mora ×20,000, plus talent level-up material ×2

The exact materials shift from stage to stage, covering items such as Mystic Enhancement Ore, character ascension gems, and talent books like Guide to Prosperity, Diligence, or Gold. Across all five stages, that adds up to 200 Primogems plus a steady supply of Mora and upgrade materials. The Festive Cheer you earn also feeds the wider event reward track that hands out the free 4-star sword Silver Light.

The furnishing for clearing all five stages

Completing every stage unlocks the mode’s headline prize, the 4-star outdoor furnishing “Warding Figure: Silver Swallow, Evil-Bane.” It is a landscape special object for the Serenitea Pot, modeled after the rattan figure you controlled throughout the mode.

You’ll know a run counted when the Challenge Completed screen appears with your final score and each cleared milestone ticked off. From there, the rewards wait in the event menu under The Great Chase and Dispelling until you claim them. Once the fifth stage’s rewards are collected, the furnishing appears in your inventory, confirming the mode is finished.
