Getting Ready for Honeyglow Woods in Disney Dreamlight Valley

A practical prep list for storage, portal space, Star Coins, and materials before the Adventure Pack goes live on July 8.

A practical prep list for storage, portal space, Star Coins, and materials before the Adventure Pack goes live on July 8.

The first paid Adventure Pack for Disney Dreamlight Valley, Honeyglow Woods, arrives on July 8, 2026, and you can get set up now so you spend launch day exploring instead of shuffling chests. The pack is built to welcome newcomers, so there is no hard requirement to finish anything first. A little groundwork still smooths out the early hours with Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore.

Quick answer: You don’t need to complete any quest to enter Honeyglow Woods. Before July 8, clear space for the portal, set up storage, stock Star Coins and basic materials, cook travel meals, and unlock Tigger if you can.

What Honeyglow Woods adds and why prep helps

Honeyglow Woods is a new world reached through a magical glowing tree you grow from a Tree Sprout. Inside, four areas branch off the central Everoak Tree, each with its own look and resources to gather. You restore these areas as you play, which means plenty of new materials flowing into your inventory quickly.

FeatureWhat it means for you
New charactersBefriend Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet through quests, then invite them to live in the Valley with their own homes.
Four areasDrowsybloom Acre, Gloommeadow, Braveheart Grove, and Nectar Apiary, each with distinct resources.
BeekeepingPlace Busy Bees’ Houses near flowers to produce Golden Honey and unlock new recipes and furniture.
Pooh SticksA bridge mini-game in the Gloommeadow that raises Friendship with Villagers.
HedgehogsA new critter family with Photo Mode poses and Friendship Levels.

Because so much is new, the biggest launch-day slowdowns are storage and space, not difficulty. That is where your prep pays off.

Clear space for the portal

Entry to Honeyglow Woods runs through a magical portal you grow yourself. Once the pack is live, a Tree Sprout lands in your in-game mailbox. You plant it, let it grow into a glowing tree, and step through.

The tree is a large object, so pick a clear spot before launch. It can go in the main Valley or on your Floating Islands, and you can move or replace it later. Only the Valley and Floating Islands are confirmed as placement spots for now, so plan around those two options.

Set up storage before you explore

The four areas hand you a steady stream of fresh materials, gems, fruits, and ingredients. Have chests ready so your inventory doesn’t fill up mid-adventure.

A useful approach is to drop a few chests inside Honeyglow Woods while you work through the main story and Friendship Quests. Once you finish, move those chests to a permanent storage island. Either way, decide where your overflow goes before July 8.

Stock Star Coins and core materials

You will build three Villager houses for Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet once they agree to move in, and Villager homes can be pricey. Bank some Star Coins ahead of time so paying for those houses and other tasks doesn’t stall you.

Most crafting, cooking, and quests here lean on brand-new items, but a handful of staples still come up. Keep a reserve of the basics so you aren’t backtracking for them.

  • Hardwood and Softwood
  • Pantry items from Chez Remy or Tiana’s Palace
  • Basic vegetables
  • Rich Soil

Cook travel meals for faster movement

Honeyglow Woods is a large space, so quick travel matters. Cook a batch of meals in advance and eat them to trigger the gliding ability, which covers ground faster while you explore.

If you own Wishblossom Ranch, unlocking your horses and mounts gives you another fast way to cross the new areas. That is optional, but it helps if you already have access.

Unlock Tigger ahead of launch

Tigger is already in the game over at Wishblossom Ranch, and he is the one Winnie the Pooh character you can befriend before the pack drops. Unlocking him now sets up likely interactions with Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet once they arrive. If you haven’t recruited him yet, do it before July 8.

How to get the pack and the early adopter bonus

The standalone Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack costs $16.99 and includes 2,000 Moonstones. New players can grab a bundle with the base game and 10,000 Moonstones for $49.99. The pack is not part of Xbox Game Pass, so if you play the base game through Game Pass you still buy the pack separately. Apple Arcade Edition owners get the content on day one with no extra purchase.

Buy either the standalone pack or the bundled edition before July 22 and an exclusive Rainy Day Winnie the Pooh Dream Style lands in your in-game mailbox. You can find the full breakdown on the official Summer Showcase highlights post.

How you know you’re ready

You are set for launch when you have an open spot marked for the portal tree, empty chests within reach, a stack of Star Coins for the three Villager homes, cooked meals for gliding, and a reserve of Hardwood, Softwood, pantry goods, vegetables, and Rich Soil. With Tigger already in your Valley, the only remaining step is logging in when the pack unlocks on July 8 and planting the Tree Sprout waiting in your mailbox.
