Ghost Recon Wildlands Last Rites: The Price of Freedom Walkthrough (Mission 6)

The Price of Freedom is the sixth and final mission of the free Last Rites update for Ghost Recon Wildlands. After tracking down Ines Cortes, the cult leader known as La Llorona, the job changes from an elimination to a capture. You escort your CIA handler to her hideout, take her alive, and drive her out of Bolivia.

Quick answer: Lead Emily Price to the Alta Gracia Mines, clear the base with Sync Shot and your drone, grab La Llorona inside the mine, then drive her to the extraction hideout at Espiritu Santo Alpha and interact with the door to finish the mission.

Rewards for completing The Price of Freedom

Finishing the mission unlocks the last collectible in the campaign and a set of cosmetic rewards.

There is also a second collectible earlier in the mine. Grab the “Balance” Picture Evidence Document off the table in the first open room before you push deeper.

Meet Emily Price and reach the Alta Gracia Mines

The mission opens back in Villa Verde, where your handler is waiting to brief you before the assault.

Travel to Villa Verde and meet Emily Price at the farmside spot marked on your map. Let her finish talking, then walk up to her and hold the Lead prompt so she follows you.

With Price in tow, drive to the Alta Gracia Mines. It is a long trip from the meeting point, so pick a sturdy vehicle and take the road carefully.

Stop short of the compound. This is the largest base in Last Rites, with at least a dozen Cultists on guard, so leave the vehicle a short distance from the entrance rather than driving straight in.

Clear the base and enter the mine

The garrison is heavy, but keeping Price alive is easier if you stay quiet and thin the guards out before anyone spots you.

Find cover and scout with your drone. Tag groups of enemies and clear them with Sync Shot so alarms never go off. Flanking the garrison from the south lets you work toward the mine entrance while keeping Price out of the crossfire.

Take out the guards posted at the mine mouth, then head inside. The tunnels are dark, so switch on Night Vision, or use thermal goggles, to spot enemies in the passages.

In the first open room, pick up the “Balance” Picture Evidence Document from the table. Keep moving through the tunnels and clear any remaining Cultists until you reach the final chamber.

Interact with the door at the end to trigger the cutscene where you finally come face to face with Ines Cortes, La Llorona.

Capture La Llorona and extract to Espiritu Santo Alpha

This is a snatch, not a kill. Once the scene ends, you have to escort a live target back out through the same tunnels while the cult tries to stop you.

Grab La Llorona and start leading her out of the mine. Order your squad to Fire so they clear incoming Cultists while you focus on moving her. You can release your grip between enemy waves to draw your primary weapon, then take hold of her again.

Push through the standoff at the exit, making sure neither you nor La Llorona goes down. Once you are outside, take a vehicle and stow her in the passenger seat.

Drive to the extraction hideout at Espiritu Santo Alpha, southwest of the mine. The ride is long but uneventful, with no enemies chasing you, so just get there in one piece.

At the hideout, step out, pull La Llorona from the car, and lead her to the base’s door. Interact with the door to hand her over and complete the mission.

Note: Because this is a capture, keeping the target alive matters as much as your own health. If either of you dies during the escape, the mission fails and you restart from the last checkpoint.

How to confirm the mission is complete

Delivering La Llorona to the door triggers the closing sequence and drops the reward set into your inventory. You will receive the Operation Lazarus – Mission Report document, the Ghost Lead ((REDACTED)) and Mala Viuda (Ines Cortes) Outfits, and the Price Iconic Skin. Those unlocks are your confirmation that The Price of Freedom, and the Last Rites campaign, is finished.
