Goblin King's Treasure Dagger in Crimson Desert — Location and Stats

Goblin King's Treasure Dagger in Crimson Desert — Location and Stats

The Goblin King's Treasure Dagger is one of the most useful early-game pickups in Crimson Desert. It's a unique dagger tucked away inside a hidden passage at the Mudridge Cabin, a bandit-occupied outpost sitting in the middle of a marshy pond in the Pororin Forest. Unlike most daggers — which function more as utility tools than combat weapons — this one carries a passive ability that grants a 10% chance to obtain additional hide every time you skin an animal. That bonus is baked into the dagger itself and is not tied to an Abyss Gear effect.

Quick answer: Fast travel to the Pororin Forest Abyss Nexus, head east to the Mudridge Cabin, clear the bandits, then find the small opening on the shorter building's lower platform. Crouch through the hidden corridor to reach the treasure chest containing the Goblin King's Treasure Dagger.

Mudridge Cabin Location

The Mudridge Cabin sits directly north of Pororin Village and east of the Sanctum of Temperance. If you're looking at the broader map, it's southeast of both the Unicorn Cliff and the Goldleaf Guildhouse. The nearest fast travel point is the Pororin Forest Abyss Nexus, which is south of the Goldleaf Guildhouse. Warp there and head east, passing the Sanctum of Temperance, until you reach the marshy area where the cabin stands.

Be aware that the marsh itself can drain your health as you wade through it. Having a few jump charges available helps you clear the worst patches of swamp without taking unnecessary damage.

Reaching the Hidden Chest

Step 1: After arriving at the Mudridge Cabin, defeat all the bandits occupying the area. The outpost is heavily guarded when you first encounter it, so come prepared if you're still in the early hours of the game.

Step 2: Look for the two buildings rising out of the marsh. One is taller with a hut-shaped structure on top; the other is shorter with a nearly flat surface. Head to the shorter building.

Step 3: Climb down to the platform just above the waterline on the shorter building. Scan the area around this platform for a small opening — it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it.

Step 4: Jump into the opening to enter a narrow corridor. Immediately crouch and move forward carefully. You'll need to sneak past a set of rotating wooden planks that block the path.

Step 5: Continue crouching through the passage until you reach a glowing treasure chest at the end. Open it to collect the Goblin King's Treasure Dagger.

💡
If you have the Pirate King Hat, equip it before exploring areas like this. It can detect hidden treasure chests when you're nearby, making them much easier to spot.

Goblin King's Treasure Dagger Stats

Stat Value
Attack 14
Critical Rate 5
Attack Speed 0
Refinement Level 1
Special Ability 10% chance to skin additional hide from any harvested animal

The raw combat numbers are modest, but that's expected. Daggers in Crimson Desert are primarily tools rather than frontline weapons. The real value here is the passive skinning bonus, which stacks up quickly over time and makes resource gathering noticeably more efficient — especially during the early and mid game when hide is in constant demand for crafting.

Why Pick It Up Early

Because the Mudridge Cabin is accessible relatively early in the game and the Pororin Forest Abyss Nexus provides a convenient fast travel point, there's little reason to delay grabbing this dagger. The 10% extra hide chance is a permanent quality-of-life improvement that compounds the more animals you skin. If you're investing in crafting or armor upgrades that require leather and hide, equipping the Goblin King's Treasure Dagger before you start farming materials will save you meaningful time over the course of a playthrough.

The special ability is inherent to the weapon and does not depend on any Abyss Gear slot, so it won't compete with other gear effects you might want to run. Swap to it whenever you're about to skin a kill, then switch back to your preferred loadout for combat.
