Haki is one of the most searched-for powers in Grand Blue, and the short version disappoints a lot of players. The system is planned, the Willpower stat already hints at it, but nothing in the current build lets you activate it. Anyone telling you there is a secret trainer or hidden quest is wrong.
Quick answer: You cannot get Haki in Grand Blue right now. It has not been added, there is no unlock path, and no release date has been confirmed.
Haki is locked in the current Early Access build
Grand Blue launched into Early Access on August 28, 2026 with Devil Fruits, four fighting styles, weapons, and life skills. Haki was not part of that launch, and it still is not switched on. There is no NPC, quest, training spot, or hidden requirement that grants it.
The developers have confirmed the feature is coming in a future update. A Discord message from developer “bracting” stated that Haki will get added eventually, which is the clearest sign the system is designed but not live. What players will need to do to unlock it has not been revealed.
Treat every Haki-unlocking script or tool as either fraudulent or an exploit. Exploit use can result in an account ban, so steer clear of all of it.
The Willpower stat trap
You spend points on six stats: Willpower, Health, Strength, Agility, Precision, and Energy. Willpower’s description references Haki, promising greater strength and a bigger reserve. That wording is only a placeholder for a system that has not gone live.
For now, Willpower only helps resist certain negative status effects and lets you stay underwater longer. Investing in it for Haki currently gives you zero current return on that front. Leave it low and add points later once the ability ships.
What Haki is expected to do when it arrives
Based on how the system is described for the game, three Haki types are planned. None of these are testable yet, so treat them as the intended design rather than a live feature.
- Observation Haki (Kenbunshoku) — detect invisible enemies, reveal hidden objects, and read enemy intent before an attack lands.
- Armament Haki (Busoshoku) — coat weapons and melee strikes to punch through the damage reduction on bosses and high-difficulty NPCs.
- Conqueror’s Haki (Haoshoku) — the rarest type, a localized knockback that staggers lower-level enemies but not bosses or high-level players.
What to grind instead
Since Haki is a future layer, put your time into the power systems that are live now. These are the fastest ways to get stronger in the current build.
- A Devil Fruit — start Almighty Calvin’s Wizard’s Apprentice quest in Anchor Town, then farm the hourly plant spawns.
- A fighting style — In Anchor Town, Brawler and Novice Swordsman each cost 250 gold, while Trickster is the hidden choice.
- Core stats — Put points into Energy for fruit builds, Strength for melee, and Precision for guns.
- Boss skills — King’s Punch, Pickpocket, and the claw skills drop from specific NPCs.
When Haki will be added
No official release date has been confirmed. The developers have only committed to adding Haki in a future update, without naming a window or explaining the requirements. The most reliable place to catch the announcement is the official Grand Blue Discord and the developer’s patch notes.
You will know Haki has gone live when a patch adds it to the game and the Willpower stat starts producing an actual effect. Until that happens, treat any working method as false and keep building fruits, styles, and stats.
