Mutations are the fastest way to turn a plain harvest into serious Sheckle money in Greedy Growers. Every mutation raises the sale value of a plant and its fruit, and the six currently in the game climb from a modest 2x boost all the way to a 100x payout. Most of them are tied to a specific weather event, so knowing which event does what lets you plant, wait, and cash in at the right moment.
Quick answer: As of Update 1.2 there are six mutations — Dewy (2x), Shocked (2.5x), Radioactive (5x), Charged (7.5x), Golden (25x), and Cosmic (100x). Trigger them by planting seeds or leaving fruit out during the matching weather event, or by getting a tree struck by lightning right before harvest.
All Greedy Growers mutations and multipliers
A mutation can land on a seed, a plant, or a fruit. Seeds can spawn with a mutation already on them, or pick one up if you plant them during the right weather event. A mutated plant then produces mutated fruit, and each mutation applies its own multiplier to the final sale price. Even a dead tree carries a higher value if it holds a mutation.

Weather-based mutations
Four of the six mutations come straight from weather events. Dewy, Radioactive, Golden, and Cosmic each roll on your seeds and fruit while their matching event is active, so the practical move is to have plants sitting on your plot when the event starts.
Dewy is the most common. During the Misty weather event, seeds and fruit have a 50% chance to pick it up, adding a 2x multiplier. Radioactive comes from the Acid Rain event at a 20% chance for a 5x boost. Golden rolls during the Rainbow event at 7.5% for a 25x jump, and Cosmic is the rarest and strongest, landing at just 2.5% during a Meteor Shower for a full 100x multiplier.
Every weather event runs randomly and lasts 4 minutes and 30 seconds. If you don’t want to wait for the right one to appear, you can open the Shop and spend Robux to spawn any event on demand, which is the reliable way to chase a specific mutation like Cosmic.
Lightning mutations: Shocked and Charged
Shocked and Charged don’t roll on a random chance. They both come from a tree being struck by lightning within 1.0x of the moment you harvest it. Which one you get depends entirely on the tree’s multiplier at the time of the strike.
If the multiplier stays under 25x, the tree gets Shocked for a 2.5x boost. If it goes above 25x, you get Charged instead, which is worth 7.5x. For example, harvesting a tree at 2.0x that then gets struck at 2.9x lands the Shocked mutation, since it’s still below the 25x line. A tree carrying either mutation passes it on to the fruit it produces.
Stacking multiple mutations
You are not limited to one mutation per plant. A plant that already carries a mutation can catch a second one during a later weather event. When a plant ends up with more than one mutation, the fruit it grows inherits all of them, which is how you build the highest-value harvests in the game.
Tip: Because seeds themselves can hold mutations, buying mutated seeds or planting your seeds during an event gives you a head start before the plant even matures.
Which mutation is worth chasing
Cosmic is the single best mutation in Update 1.2 thanks to its 100x multiplier, and it only appears during Meteor Shower events. Golden at 25x is the next big step up. If you’re farming for money and can spare the Robux, spawning Meteor Shower events while a full plot of plants is ready to catch the mutation is the most direct path to top-tier fruit value. For everyday farming, the frequent Misty and Acid Rain events keep a steady flow of Dewy and Radioactive plants coming without spending anything.
