Grow a Chicken Fighter: Every Egg and Its Hatch Chances

Which chicken lays each egg and the exact odds of hatching every fighter inside it.

Which chicken lays each egg and the exact odds of hatching every fighter inside it.

Eggs are the starting point for every fighter you own in Grow a Chicken Fighter. Each egg is laid by a specific chicken, and every egg carries its own set of hatch odds that decide which chicken you pull. Knowing which chicken produces which egg lets you plan routes toward the fighters you actually want instead of hatching blindly.

Quick answer: Collect an egg from your Coop, open the Flock menu on the right side of the screen, pick the egg, choose how many to hatch, then click to hatch. The chicken you get is drawn from that egg’s listed hatch chances.

How to hatch eggs in Grow a Chicken Fighter

Collect an egg from your Coop. Chickens lay eggs there, so new egg types become available as you keep more chickens active.
Click the Flock menu on the right side of your screen to open your egg inventory.
Flock button highlighted on the right-side menu
Select the egg you want to open, then choose how many eggs to hatch at once. You can hatch multiple eggs in a single action.
Click the eggs to hatch them. The hatch result appears immediately, and the new chicken is added to your Flock so you can compare its stats and deploy it.

Every egg, its source, and hatch chances

Each egg below shows the chicken that lays it and the full odds for every fighter it can produce. The egg source doubles as a route hint: to unlock a new egg branch, you keep and deploy the chicken that lays it.

Blazing Egg and event-only rewards

The Blazing Egg does not come from a chicken. It is an event reward, collected during the Hot event or claimed by redeeming Grow a Chicken Fighter codes. That makes it the only egg on this list you cannot farm through the normal Coop and Flock loop.

Its rewards lean rarer than most standard eggs, with these hatch chances:

How egg branches unlock new eggs

Eggs are tied together in a chain. Because each egg is laid by a specific chicken, hatching one egg can give you the chicken that lays the next egg you need. That is how you move from starter eggs into rarer branches without waiting on random drops.

  • Nest Egg feeds early progress and can hatch Cosmo Brat, which lays the Scratch Egg.
  • Scratch Egg can hatch Sergeant Hen (Thunder Egg), Bow Chick (Charm Egg), NPC Chick (Cursed Egg), Pizza Rooster (Diner Egg), Taser Hen (Circuit Egg), and Slugger Hen (Arena Egg).
  • Thunder Egg can hatch Commando Rooster (Ordnance Egg) and Astro Chick (Void Egg), plus Crest Rooster (Royal Egg).
  • Arena Egg can hatch Baron Cluck (Fortune Egg) and Spider Chicken (Fang Egg), while Creepy Clown lays the Haunt Egg.
  • Charm Egg can hatch Ballerina Hen, which lays the Bloom Egg.

Because of this, keep at least one copy of any chicken that lays an egg you still want before you sell or fuse duplicates. Selling the only route chicken too early forces you back through earlier eggs to get it again.

Confirming a hatch worked

After you click to hatch, the game shows the chicken you pulled on screen and adds it to your Flock. If a new chicken does not appear, you either had no eggs of that type in your inventory or did not collect the egg from your Coop first. New egg types only start appearing once you have the chicken that lays them active and producing in the Coop.
