The Harvest Moon Part 3 update is live in Grow a Garden, and it leans hard into pets and crafting. The headline additions are the Moon Machine, which turns high-level pets into new moon mutations, and Moon Crafting, a system for building Harvest Moon seeds, pets, and items. A batch of mini achievements, three new plants, new pets, and a fresh cosmetic round it out, alongside the usual pile of fixes.
Quick answer: Feed a pet that is level 50 or higher into the Moon Machine, spend Moon Coins to run it, then claim the pet once it finishes to get one of four new moon mutations. Use Moon Crafting to make Harvest Moon seeds and pets, and summon Harvest Moons to unlock more recipes.

Moon Machine: Turn pets into moon mutations
The Moon Machine converts a qualifying pet into one of four new moon mutations. It only accepts pets at level 50 or higher, so anything below that cap will not go in. Running the machine costs Moon Coins, and the process takes time to complete before you get anything back.
Note: You know it worked when the machine reports as done and lets you claim the pet back. If nothing happens, the most common blocks are a pet under level 50 or not having enough Moon Coins to start the run.
Moon Crafting and unlocking recipes
Moon Crafting lets you build a mix of new and existing Harvest Moon items, including seeds and pets. The recipe list is not fully open from the start. To expand it, you summon Harvest Moons, and each summon unlocks more crafting recipes to work through.
Mini achievements and rewards
The update adds a set of Harvest Moon themed mini achievements. Completing them hands out a range of rewards, including new seeds, pets, and mutations. They work as a checklist for the event, so clearing each one moves you toward the full reward pool.
New plants, pets, and cosmetics
Three new plants join the game, along with a new pet and a Harvest Moon cosmetic. The pet list also notes at least one more pet beyond the named Harvest Golem.
| Type | New content |
|---|---|
| Plants | Harvest Melon, Wheatcap, Starry Strawberry |
| Pets | Harvest Golem, plus at least one more |
| Cosmetics | Harvest Moon Fence |
Fixes, changes, and quality-of-life updates
Beyond the new content, Part 3 makes several adjustments to existing systems and squashes a round of bugs. Pet inventory space gets a boost through new upgrades, and a couple of weather modes were tuned.
- New pet inventory capacity upgrades added to the Ascension Shop.
- Stoplight weather now places the win pad in front of the shops.
- Glass Obby weather timer extended.
- Changes made to fruit in the Farmers Market.

If you are jumping in now, the fastest path through Part 3 is to level a pet to 50 for the Moon Machine, start banking Moon Coins, and summon Harvest Moons to keep opening up Moon Crafting recipes while you clear the mini achievements.
