Grow a Garden Summer Part 2 Patch Notes: Mega High Tide Harvest and Shelldon the Clam

Everything added in the second Summer drop, from Tidal Tokens and the new clam trader to seven fresh plants.

Everything added in the second Summer drop, from Tidal Tokens and the new clam trader to seven fresh plants.

The Summer Part 2 update keeps the seasonal event running in Grow a Garden, building directly on top of the High Tide Harvest that launched with the first drop. The big change is a bigger, more rewarding version of that harvest, plus a new trading character, a team-based weekly goal, and a batch of coastal plants, pets, and items to chase.

Quick answer: Summer Part 2 adds the Mega High Tide Harvest (double Harvest Points and Tidal Tokens), a new NPC named Shelldon the Clam who trades pets, a Team Harvest weekly goal that unlocks the Lagoon Lily Seed, seven new plants, new pets, and three new items.

Mega High Tide Harvest and Tidal Tokens

The High Tide Harvest now has a stronger version that can appear in its place. When the Mega High Tide Harvest spawns instead of the regular one, every point you earn counts double, so you rack up Harvest Points twice as fast during that window.

Those points feed a new currency. For every 1,000 Harvest Points you collect, you receive one Tidal Token. Tidal Tokens are spent in the dedicated Tidal Token tab inside the summer event shop, where you can pick up a range of event-exclusive rewards. The reward pool for the harvest itself has also grown, with four new possible High Tide Harvest rewards added.

Shelldon the Clam trades pets

A new character named Shelldon the Clam joins the summer area. Shelldon lets you hand over regular pets in exchange for coastal eggs or new summer pets, giving you a direct way to convert pets you no longer need into event-themed ones.

Team Harvest and the Lagoon Lily Seed

Team Harvest is a weekly community goal. Each day you work toward a Summer Points target, and teaming up with other players speeds up the progress. Hit the daily goal on six of the seven days in the week and you unlock the Lagoon Lily Seed. The week also brings fresh rewards to earn, including additional seeds, pets, and gear.

New plants in Summer Part 2

Seven new plants join the seasonal lineup. Many can be pulled from the new Coastal Seed Pack described below.

  • Shark Splash
  • Sun Fruit
  • Pool Noodle
  • Sand Pail Shrub
  • Drippy Delight
  • Beach Ball Cactus
  • Sunshade Flower

New pets

Two named pets arrive with the update, with more listed as coming in the same drop. Some of these are the summer pets you can obtain through Shelldon’s trades.

  • Mantaray
  • Pelican
  • 2+ more pets

New items

Three new items give you fresh ways to earn seeds, cosmetics, and a growth boost for your seasonal crops.

Tidal CrateContains one of 6 possible summer cosmetics.
Summer Splash SprinklerIncreases growth speed and fruit size of summer plants.

Fixes, changes, and quality-of-life updates

Alongside the new content, the update reworks the harvest reward pool and cleans up several team and event bugs.

  • Removed the Campfire Seed Pack from the High Tide Harvest reward pool.
  • Party Leaders can now leave their teams.
  • Various team-related fixes.
  • Fixed several console bugs tied to the Summer event.
  • Fixed multiple bugs affecting the High Tide Harvest.
  • Addressed a bug that caused placed cosmetics crates to temporarily disappear.
  • Fixed various pet bugs.
  • Made general performance improvements.

If you want to make the most of this drop, prioritize the Mega High Tide Harvest windows for double points, keep feeding pets you don’t need into Shelldon for coastal eggs, and log in daily so you clear the Team Harvest goal on at least six days to secure the Lagoon Lily Seed before the week resets.
