Free armor skins every player can get

The Hidden Blade skin uses the same redemption flow, but the code is personal to you. Log in to Discord, open the Quests page, find the Halo: Campaign Evolved quest, and watch the roughly 26-second trailer. Discord issues a code once the video finishes, which you then redeem on Halo Waypoint.
Limited-time promo skins with a deadline
Two free skins are tied to short windows around launch, and neither is confirmed to return once its window closes. Handle the Fanta one first, since it has the tighter deadline.
Fantastic Spartan (Fanta promo)
This bright orange skin comes from an Xbox and Fanta collaboration. With a Halo Waypoint account ready, scan the QR code on the Fanta promotion page from your phone and play the short puzzle. You unscramble Forerunner glyphs by rotating five of them to match the decoding box, then select the reward.
After you finish the challenge, tap through to redeem and you receive a personal code by email. Enter that code on Halo Waypoint to unlock the skin. The promotion closes July 30, 2026, so this is the most urgent one to claim.
Stream of the Crop (Twitch Drop)
Stream of the Crop is a clean Mark V style earned through Twitch Drops rather than a code. Link your Twitch account to your Halo Waypoint profile, then watch roughly two hours of Halo: Campaign Evolved on a qualifying channel with the stream actively running.
Check your Twitch Drops inventory to confirm your watch-time percentage is rising, which tells you the channel qualifies. Once earned, claim the drop from your inventory, then equip it from Halo Waypoint or the in-game customization menu. This drop closes August 4, 2026.
Pre-order skins: Foundry Armory Pack
The Foundry Armory Pack shipped with any pre-order edition and unlocked at launch. It includes the Classic 2001 Mark V Flawless Cowboy skin, a recreation of the low-poly green armor from the original game, and the Gilded Onyx style, a black-and-gold Forerunner-inspired look. Both carry matching Assault Rifle skins.
Because this pack was tied to the pre-order window, it is no longer obtainable for anyone buying the game now unless it becomes more widely available later.
Premium and Collector’s Edition: Alpha Halo Armory Pack
The Alpha Halo Armory Pack is the largest single bundle of cosmetics at launch and is reserved for Digital Premium and Collector’s Edition owners, or anyone who upgrades to one of those tiers later. It contains five Master Chief armor skins plus six matching weapon skins, all usable in solo and co-op.

Mark IV armor is not unlockable
The Mark IV armor appears only during the bonus prequel missions as part of the story. It cannot be selected or equipped through the customization menu, so treat it as a scripted appearance rather than something to collect.
How to equip a skin and confirm it worked
Open the Customization menu from the main menu, select the Armor or Weapons category, scroll to the look you want, and press the confirm button to equip it. On Xbox that is A, on PS5 it is Cross / X, and on PC it is left click. Your choice applies to both solo and co-op, and it stays active until you change it.
If you play across Xbox, PC, and PlayStation, cross-progression keeps the same loadout following you between platforms. Note that custom armor styles are not rendered during in-engine cutscenes, so Master Chief may revert to his default look during cinematic moments even when your chosen skin shows up in normal play. That is expected behavior, not a sign the unlock failed.
