The Hang Out puzzle is one of the Cluemaster boxes tucked into Tricorner Island in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. It locks the prize behind a shipping container that has to be opened from both sides before a cable can be threaded through the middle, and it will not budge without the right roster on hand.
Quick answer: Bring Nightwing and Batman. Pry the shipping container open on both ends, have Batman pull the middle door, then run a cable through the container to power the cage.

How to solve the Hang Out Cluemaster puzzle
Step 1: Approach the shipping container near the puzzle cage on the Tricorner docks. Switch to Nightwing and use his pry tool on the door at one end of the container to force it open.
Step 2: Walk around to the opposite end of the container and pry that side open as well with Nightwing. Both ends need to be open before the next step will register.
Step 3: Switch to Batman and grab the handles on the door in the middle of the container. Pull it apart to clear a straight line through the inside.
Step 4: Swap back to Nightwing and fire his electric cable from the power point on one side, through the open container, and into the connection feeding the cage. The current will flow once the line is unbroken, and the puzzle box pops free.
How to know it worked
The cage panel retracts and the Cluemaster puzzle box becomes interactable. Walking up and picking it up adds the clue to your tracker and credits the Tricorner Cluemaster count. If the cable will not connect, one of the container doors is still shut. Re-check both ends with Nightwing and confirm Batman fully separated the middle door rather than just yanking it once.
