Haze Seas: How to Spawn the Ghost Ship (All Rewards and Drop Rates)

Sacrifice Devil Fruits at the Green Ghost Altar during a Sea 3 Storm and clear the ship for guaranteed Phantom Lanterns.

Sacrifice Devil Fruits at the Green Ghost Altar during a Sea 3 Storm and clear the ship for guaranteed Phantom Lanterns.

The Ghost Ship is a Sea 3 encounter in Haze Seas that you trigger yourself by feeding Devil Fruits to a special altar during a Storm. It is the only reliable way to farm Phantom Lanterns, the material gate for Blackleg Fighting Style V2 and higher crafting recipes. The ship never fights back, so the real challenge is meeting the summon conditions and dealing enough damage before it drifts away.

Quick answer: During a Storm in Sea 3, go to the Green Ghost Altar near the throne building on the Land of the Gods, equip Devil Fruits, and hold E to sacrifice them until you reach 20 points. One Mythic fruit hits 20 instantly and spawns the ship.

Ghost Ship summon requirements

The event only exists in the Third Sea, and the altar only becomes usable while a Storm is active. Storms run on a server loop roughly every 2 hours and 35 minutes and last about 10 minutes, so the altar is a timed window rather than a permanent object. If there is no Storm, the altar cannot be used.

You will find the altar on the Land of the Gods, near the throne building on the left side of the island. It has a circular green base, which makes it easy to spot once the weather turns. Have your Devil Fruits ready in your inventory before the Storm begins so you do not waste the short window hunting for stock.

Devil Fruit sacrifice point values

Each fruit you offer adds points based on its rarity, and you need 20 points total. You can mix rarities to reach the number, or drop a single Mythic to hit the cap in one action.

Fruit rarityPoints
Common1
Uncommon3
Rare5
Legendary15
Mythic20

The math matters if you want to save rare fruits. A Legendary plus one Rare reaches 20, and four Rare fruits also work. Feeding cheap Common fruits is possible but slow, since you would need 20 of them.

How to spawn the Ghost Ship

Wait in Sea 3 until a Storm begins. This is the only time the Green Ghost Altar appears on the Land of the Gods, so keep an eye on the weather and the server loop.

Travel to the throne building on the Land of the Gods and move to the left side of the island to reach the altar with the circular green base.
Equip a Devil Fruit from your inventory, stand at the altar, and hold E to sacrifice it. The altar registers the fruit’s point value.
Repeat the sacrifice until the total reaches 20 points. A single Mythic fruit completes this in one offering.
Watch for the on-screen message confirming the summon, then locate the ship sailing near the island and destroy it before the encounter ends.

Note: Once you reach 20 points, the server announces that a phantom ship has risen from the abyss. That message is your confirmation the summon worked and the ship is on the map.

Ghost Ship stats

The ship is a large health pool with no offense. It is listed at Level 5000 and does not deal damage to players, but it keeps moving across the water, so you have to chase it while attacking.

StatValue
Level5000
Health378,908 HP
DamageNone
BehaviorMoves constantly, does not attack

Because of the size of the health bar, a strong endgame build or a party clears the ship far faster. The lack of return damage means you can focus entirely on damage output and keeping pace with the hull.

Ghost Ship rewards and drop rates

Defeating the ship always gives a Phantom Lantern and a Ghost Chest, alongside flat progression rewards. The rarer bonuses roll on a 10% chance each.

RewardDrop chance
Phantom Lantern (x1)100%
Ghost Chest (x1)100%
Blade Fragment10%
Ghastly Haki color10%
Race Spins (x5)10%

On top of the loot table, a successful clear also grants 2 Levels, 50 Gems, and 50,000 Beli. The Ghost Chest is a short interaction window that appears after the kill and holds the Ghastly Haki color, the Race Spins, and a chance at a random Rare or higher Devil Fruit.

What Phantom Lanterns unlock

Phantom Lanterns are the main reason to farm this event. They are the crafting gate for several endgame items and progression paths.

  • Blackleg Fighting Style V2, which also needs 300 Black Leg Mastery, Third Sea access, x2 Phantom Lanterns, and 5,000,000 Beli from the Sage of Combat on the Sea 3 Starter Island.
  • Prismatic Shard, a crafted item used to summon the Cthulhu boss.
  • Dominus Messor, which lists Phantom Lantern among its requirements.

Because the Storm loop controls how often the altar appears, plan your fruit stockpile around that timer. Keep at least one high-value fruit banked for the next window, position yourself near the Land of the Gods before the weather changes, and you can chain summons every cycle to build up Phantom Lanterns for whichever unlock you are chasing.
