Head of Hei in Anime Apocalypse: Naoya Questline Requirements and Tasks

Head of Hei is one of the strongest endgame abilities in the Roblox game Anime Apocalypse, tied to the Naoya NPC questline added in the Head of Hei update. Unlocking it takes a clear set of gating requirements followed by four grindable challenges completed in the lobby.

Quick answer: Reach Level 25, hold at least 2,500,000 Gold, then talk to the Naoya NPC in the main lobby and complete all four quests (earn 1,500,000 Coins, finish 50 Survival runs, reach Wave 100 in Survival, defeat 25 Raid Bosses, and kill 7,500 enemies).

Head of Hei unlock requirements

Naoya stands in the main lobby area and acts as the questgiver for the Head of Hei ability. Interacting with him only opens the questline once both prerequisites are satisfied. If either is missing, the dialogue will not advance into the quest list.

Head of Hei questline tasks

After Naoya unlocks the questline, four objectives must be completed before the Head of Hei ability is granted. The tasks overlap heavily, so running Survival mode repeatedly will progress most of them at once.

How to start the Head of Hei quest

Step 1: Reach Level 25 and farm at least 2,500,000 Gold. Survival mode on Hard or Nightmare is the fastest way to hit the gold threshold while also chipping away at run-count and kill objectives later.

Step 2: Load into the main lobby and walk to the Naoya NPC. Interact with him to open the dialogue and accept the Head of Hei questline, which exposes the four quest tasks.

Step 3: Open the quest area in the lobby to confirm the four objectives are tracked. From there, queue Survival mode to start progressing every task in parallel.

Best way to clear each task

Survival mode is the backbone of the entire questline. Coins, run counts, kills, and Raid Tickets all come from the same activity, which is why running Survival back-to-back is far more efficient than chasing each objective separately.

For Wave 100, a strong AoE crowd-control build is essential. Pride, Saiyan, and Coyote work well as primary abilities, paired with AoE gadgets such as Black Hole and Conqueror's Haki. Bringing teammates or higher-level players makes the late waves significantly more manageable than soloing.

For the 25 Raid Boss requirement, save the Raid Tickets earned during Survival rather than burning them on the toughest bosses. Upper Moon 3 from the Infinity Castle raid is the most efficient farm because it deals less incoming damage than alternatives like Atomic from Shadow Garden, and a decent build can solo it.

Note: The 50 Survival run task accepts any difficulty, including Normal. If Wave 100 is gating progress, switching to Normal solely for run-count grinding still counts.

How to confirm Head of Hei is unlocked

Once all four quests show as complete in the Naoya questline, the Head of Hei ability becomes available in the game's ability menu. The matching Head of the Hei title also unlocks, granting +18% Damage, +33 Health, +1 Walkspeed, +7% Coins, +3% EXP, +10% Cooldown Reduction, and +13% Drops once equipped.

Tip: Redeeming the active code HEADOFHEI in the in-game Codes menu provides Coins, Raid Tickets, Trait Rerolls, ability and gadget spins, plus a 2x Coins boost, which directly speeds up both the gold gate and the questline grind.

The questline is mostly a time investment rather than a skill check, with Wave 100 being the single significant difficulty spike. Stack the gold farm, run count, kills, and raid tickets into the same Survival sessions, and the Head of Hei ability will resolve in the fewest possible queues.
