For Helldivers 2, Ironclad Democracy is the tanker-themed Premium Warbond, emphasizing heavy armor, anti-tank equipment, and the game’s first tank-exclusive paint schemes. Its rewards include three guns, two throwables, two armor sets, two boosters, several capes and cards, an emote, and a title, distributed over three pages opened with Medals.
Quick answer: Ironclad Democracy costs 1,000 Super Credits, released September 22nd, 2026 on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, and never expires. You buy the Warbond once, then spend Medals to claim its items page by page.
Ironclad Democracy weapons and costs
Three weapons anchor the Warbond, split into two primaries and one sidearm. Each one has a clearly different job, from rapid rifle fire to armor-stripping explosives.
| Weapon | Page | Medal Cost | |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | AR-11 Arbitrator | 1 | 35 |
![]() | G-8 Immolation | 1 | 35 |
![]() | P-34 Breacher | 2 | 50 |
![]() | GL-15 Evictor | 3 | 65 |
![]() | G-60 AT Seeker | 3 | 65 |
The AR-11 Arbitrator is the standout. It’s a caseless assault rifle with a top-mounted magazine that fires at a blistering 1,200 RPM for 70 light-penetrating damage per round, and it carries an underslung medium-pen shotgun for close range. That second barrel is the real trick, since it lets you run a utility secondary like the Ultimatum and still keep a ballistic backup on your primary. It holds 45 rifle rounds and 4 shotgun shells, with selectable Semi, Auto, and Burst fire modes.
The G-8 Immolation throws out fire instead of a blast. It shatters on impact and drops a persistent burning field for around 20 seconds, making it excellent for area denial and for plugging enemy reinforcement drops. You carry six of them. The trade-off is that it lacks Demo Force, so it can’t seal Bug Holes or destroy Fabricators the way other incendiary grenades can.
The P-34 Breacher is the Warbond’s anti-tank sidearm. It fires a sticky projectile fueled by phosphorus that burns through armor before detonating, behaving much like a G-123 Thermite you can aim and shoot. It’s single-shot with two or three spare rockets, and it can crack open Chargers, Hulks, Fabricators, and Illuminate gunships, all while keeping your grenade slot free.
With medium armor penetration, the GL-15 Evictor uses a pump-action grenade-launcher design. Each explosive round deals 490 damage, and loading one shell at a time lets you refill it without throwing away unused ammunition. It holds 6 rounds with 32 more in reserve, making it a deliberate area-of-effect primary; its shots can seal Bug Holes and destroy Fabricators through the vent.
The G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker carries an 1,800-damage payload as a drone grenade. Once thrown, it trails you until an enemy comes within detection range, then moves to that enemy and explodes on contact, affecting an area of roughly 12 meters. Its supply is three, and a strike to the torso can kill a Hulk. Ping your intended target beforehand to set its priority; otherwise, its tracking may choose a different enemy.
Pairing the Arbitrator’s shotgun with a utility secondary frees up your loadout in a way most primaries can’t, which is why it’s the easiest early pick from Page 1.
Armor sets and the Blunt-Force Mitigation passive
Since the two armor sets use the same passive, weight is the deciding factor. The light BFM-16 Tanker takes its look from the First Galactic War’s armored cavalry, whereas the heavy BFM-220 Ironclad uses surplus hull plating alongside a servo-bracing system and blast-shield collar.
| Armor | Page | Medal Cost | |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | BFM-16 Tanker (Light) | 1 | 45 (Armor), 30 (Helmet) |
![]() | BFM-220 Ironclad (Heavy) | 2 | 55 (Armor), 45 (Helmet) |
Blunt-Force Mitigation provides three benefits: knockdowns are less likely to send you prone, impact and collision damage drops by 30%, and your armor rating increases without affecting movement speed or stamina regeneration. It shines against Automatons, whose attacks frequently cause ragdolls, and it also helps FRV drivers absorb collision damage.
Because of the passive, the BFM-16 light set lands at 75 armor, higher than most light suits but still short of the 100 you’d get from a medium set. If you want the same benefits on a light frame that hits 100 armor, the B-08 Light Gunner suit in the Superstore is the alternative.
Boosters, cosmetics, and tank patterns
The rest of the Warbond covers two boosters, two capes with matching player cards, a title, an emote, and the tank-exclusive paint schemes. The tank skins apply to the X-UDE and Bastion tanks and are purely visual.
| Item | Page | Medal Cost | |
|---|---|---|---|
![]() | Standard of Rapid Evacuation (Banner) | 1 | 2 |
![]() | Standard of Rapid Evacuation (Cape) | 1 | 8 |
| Verdant Camouflage (Tank Skin) | 1 | 20 | |
![]() | Shroud of the Juggernaut (Banner) | 2 | 7 |
![]() | Shroud of the Juggernaut (Cape) | 2 | 25 |
![]() | Surplus EAT Allocation (Booster) | 2 | 55 |
![]() | Glacial Polymer (Tank Skin) | 2 | 50 |
![]() | Executive Onyx (Tank Skin) | 3 | 55 |
| Treadhead (Title) | 3 | 20 | |
| Helmet Durability Check (Emote) | 3 | 20 | |
![]() | Integrated Extinguishers (Booster) | 3 | 65 |
Surplus EAT Allocation gives the squad two free Expendable Anti-Tank call-ins per mission, and since each call-in drops two launchers, that’s four EATs total to share. It’s handy on lower difficulties and shorter runs, but four disposable launchers don’t stretch far against the endless heavy units at the top end.
Integrated Extinguishers cuts the time you stay on fire, roughly from three seconds down to about one. The catch is that diving already puts flames out, and you can keep reloading, shooting, or stimming while you do it, so the booster mostly earns its slot against the Automaton Incineration Corps.
The three tank patterns are Verdant Camouflage, Glacial Polymer, and Executive Onyx, giving vehicles a camouflage finish, a grey-and-white scheme, and a yellow-and-black scheme. The Helmet Durability Check emote is exactly what it sounds like: one Helldiver swings a shovel into a squadmate’s helmet.
Superstore items released alongside Ironclad Democracy
A handful of items landed in the Superstore at the same time and are bought with Super Credits rather than Medals. This includes the BFM-77 Reformer, a medium armor set that carries the same Blunt-Force Mitigation passive, plus the Tread of Liberty cape and card, and the LAS-12 Sai.
| Item | Price (SC) | |
|---|---|---|
![]() | BFM-77 Reformer Armor | 250 |
![]() | BFM-77 Reformer Helmet | 125 |
![]() | Tread of Liberty (Banner) | 100 |
![]() | Tread of Liberty (Cape) | 100 |
![]() | LAS-12 Sai | 400 |
The LAS-12 Sai is the pick of the bunch. It’s a laser SMG with medium armor penetration, 80 damage, an 800 RPM fire rate, and roughly 7 seconds of continuous fire per heatsink, which works out to about 93 shots before you vent heat. Think of it as a faster, harder-hitting Liberator Penetrator with double the magazine and near-infinite ammo. Its one-handed design also makes it a natural partner for the Ballistic Shield.
The catch is accuracy. The Sai has the widest shot spread of any weapon in the game, which caps its effective range at around 10 meters. Up close it rivals the Trident laser shotgun and arguably edges it out thanks to the medium penetration. You can tighten the spread with its unique Focus Lens attachment, but that also lowers the fire rate.
How to unlock the Warbond and claim its gear
Ironclad Democracy is a Premium Warbond, not a Legendary one, so it costs 1,000 Super Credits and unlocks in the Warbonds tab of the Acquisition Center. Working through all three pages costs 803 Medals in total, and 300 Super Credits are claimable back from inside the Warbond.
Access requires the base game on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S, enough Super Credits for the Warbond, and an online connection; PS5 online play additionally requires PlayStation Plus. After purchase, standard mission progression unlocks the individual items. Owners of the Super Citizen Edition on PS5 may use its Premium Warbond Token for this Warbond.
Medal spending controls the page unlocks: Page 1 is available at once, Page 2 opens after 135 Medals have been spent, and Page 3 after spending 225. A Warbond belongs to your account and Helldiver profile, while crossplay lets squad members who own it use its gear no matter which platform they play on.
Warbonds never expire. Buying Ironclad Democracy later costs nothing extra, and everything inside stays claimable indefinitely, so there’s no launch-day rush to unlock every page.
The purchase is complete once Ironclad Democracy joins your other Warbonds and no longer displays a buy prompt. It then follows the usual Warbond system: progression unlocks its items, and claimed armor, weapons, throwables, or emotes become available in your loadout when equipped aboard your Super Destroyer.
If you want a look at the gear in motion before spending anything, the reveal trailer runs through the armor sets, all five weapons and throwables, the tank patterns, and the emote against Automaton forces on a red desert world.
