Honkai Star Rail 4.4 Pure Fiction: Best Teams for Fabricated Business

Node-by-node team picks, enemy weaknesses, and Grit rules to clear the Fabricated Business Starward run.

Node-by-node team picks, enemy weaknesses, and Grit rules to clear the Fabricated Business Starward run.

Pure Fiction has reset in Honkai Star Rail 4.4, and the Fabricated Business run splits into three fights with their own weaknesses. Each node rewards heavy area-of-effect damage, Follow-up attacks, and Ultimates, and clearing all three unlocks the full point payout. The Starward node adds a harder boss on top of the usual two halves.

Quick answer: Bring Imaginary or Physical AoE for Node 1 (Gepard), Fire or Lightning AoE for Node 2 (Alloy Mechatron: King Pom-Pom), and Fire or Quantum AoE for the Starward node (Abundant Ebon Deer). Silver Wolf Lv.999 Elation, Ashveil/Mortenax Blade, and Himeko – Nova cover all three cleanly.

Weaknesses and clear targets for Fabricated Business

Point targets stay consistent across the stage. You clear at 45,000 points, and the top objective rewards land at 99,000. The phase runs from August 3 to September 14, 2026, so build around the weaknesses below before it rotates out.

Grit mechanics and node buffs to pick

This rotation is built around Follow-up attacks and Ultimates. Every enemy hit by a Follow-up gives 8 Grit, and after any Follow-up or Ultimate, hit enemies take extra damage equal to 80% of the user’s ATK plus 40% of their Max HP. Entering Surging Grit restores 20% Energy to all allies, applies 50% Vulnerability, and doubles that additional damage, which counts as Follow-up ATK damage.

You choose one node buff before starting a stage. Match it to your damage type so you keep Surging Grit uptime high.

BuffEffectBest for
Smack Talk+30% All-Type RES PEN on Follow-ups; during Surging Grit, Follow-ups hit adjacent enemies for 40% ATK and 20% Max HPAshveil / Mortenax Blade
Grand Rhetoric+50% CRIT DMG to Ultimates during Surging Grit; 20% Energy when it endsUltimate carries (Saber, Himeko – Nova)
Motormouth+20% SPD for all allies; +30% damage to enemies during Surging GritAny team

Tip: Motormouth is the safe generalist pick. The extra SPD and universal damage boost help almost any composition build and hold Surging Grit.

Node 1 teams: Gepard (Imaginary, Physical)

Node 1 is the easiest fight. Gepard only uses single-target and AoE attacks and grants a single-instance barrier to other enemies, so any strong AoE with Imaginary or Physical damage will overwhelm the waves. Kill the Titan-type mobs with War Armor first, since breaking their armor returns Energy to your team, then clear the Ice enemies that delay your turns.

Phainon HypercarryPhainon / Cerydra / Sunday / Huohuo
F2PSilver Wolf Lv.999 / Trailblazer (Lightning) / Asta / Huohuo

Silver Wolf Lv.999 converts Punchline stacks into Hidden MMR with Sparxie and gains CRIT buffs, while Yao Guang pushes her damage higher for wave-clearing Follow-ups. Phainon plays as a hypercarry, stacking team buffs and locking enemies in his domain, and Evanescia mirrors Silver Wolf’s Elation loop with powerful Follow-up bursts. Gepard carries every weakness an Elation team wants, so this is a strong place to run one.

Node 2 teams: Alloy Mechatron: King Pom-Pom (Fire, Lightning)

The second half brings the Alloy Mechatron: King Pom-Pom boss with a Lasting Antibac damage reduction. Generate enough Punchline to fire your Pom-Pom’s enhanced Basic ATK, which strips one Antibac stack at a time. Once all stacks are gone, the boss loses its damage reduction and takes heavy damage. Killing the enemy mini Pom-Poms feeds Punchline quickly, so target them first.

Acheron HypercarryAcheron / Mortenax Blade / Jiaoqiu / Permansor Terrae
Saber x GilgameshSaber / Gilgamesh / Mortenax Blade / Huohuo
F2PAshveil / Mortenax Blade / Robin / Gallagher

Ashveil and Mortenax Blade fit this stage perfectly. Ashveil marks targets to lower their DEF and trigger repeated Follow-ups, giving strong single-target pressure on the boss, while Mortenax Blade clears everything around him with Tribbie’s teamwide buff. Acheron works as a standard hypercarry that leans on Jiaoqiu and Mortenax Blade to apply debuffs and fuel her Ultimate. Remove the Lasting Antibac from Alloy Pom-Pom before you unload your biggest abilities.

Starward node teams: Abundant Ebon Deer (Fire, Quantum)

The Starward mode ends on the Abundant Ebon Deer, which summons twigs, uses single-target and AoE attacks, and gains a DEF buff. Its Moonlit Pegasus escort applies Oronyx’s Mark, and two stacks deal heavy Quantum damage plus Entanglement. Clear the mark with an Ultimate or a cleanse. Watch for Mara-Struck Soldiers that revive with half HP, so let an AoE sub-DPS handle them instead of wasting single-target abilities.

Castorice RemembranceCastorice / Evernight / Cyrene / Hyacine
Archer / Rin TohsakaArcher / Rin Tohsaka / Sparkle / Permansor Terrae
F2PHimeko – Nova / Trailblazer (Ice) / Welt / Permansor Terrae

Himeko – Nova deploys a domain that triggers a strong Assist Skill and hits the whole field, with Remembrance Trailblazer and Sparkle supplying the buffs that raise her damage. Castorice delivers massive Quantum AoE with Evernight as sub-DPS and Cyrene buffing the team, matching the deer’s Fire and Quantum weaknesses. If you own the Fate collab units, the Archer and Rin Tohsaka pairing gives another double-carry AoE answer for the crowded waves.

How to confirm a full clear

Aim for the 45,000-point clear on every node, then push toward 99,000 for the last reward tiers. Across all three fights, defeat the Furbo Journalists early to feed Punchline for Aha’s Instant, and prioritize the Titan mobs, Ice enemies, and mini Pom-Poms that gate your damage. Once each node’s score bar hits its target, the stage marks it complete and pays out the corresponding rewards, so pace your teams to hold Surging Grit through the final wave rather than saving cooldowns.
