Honkai: Star Rail Minuscule Great Adventure Day 2 SS Rank Guide

The trial lineups, route buffs, and objectives that clear Neon Dreamland with 12 stars and every reward tier.

The trial lineups, route buffs, and objectives that clear Neon Dreamland with 12 stars and every reward tier.

Neon Dreamland is the second stage of Minuscule Great Adventure, the combat assignment event running in Honkai: Star Rail 4.5. You never control a character here. You build four separate lineups, send them out, and the game resolves the fights on its own — which means the entire result is decided before the first attack lands.

Quick answer: Fill all four routes with the stage’s trial characters — Route 1: Trailblazer (Physical), Himeko, Gallagher, Trailblazer (Imaginary); Route 2: Argenti, Jade, Herta, Robin; Route 3: Boothill, Firefly, Ruan Mei, Trailblazer (Imaginary); Route 4: Black Swan, Kafka, Acheron, Aventurine — then start the challenge. That layout returns 12 stars and an SS Rank, which unlocks every reward tier for the map.

Neon Dreamland SS Rank requirements

The stage rank is driven by stars, and 12 stars is the ceiling. Hitting that number marks the run as SS and opens all reward tiers at once, so there is no reason to grind the map repeatedly once you get there. Stars come from clearing the routes and from the stage’s bonus objectives, which are damage and debuff thresholds rather than survival checks.

ObjectiveRequirement
One Shot, One KillDeal 1,854,125 DMG in a single action
Insane DMGDeal a total of 9,403,360 DMG in a single battle
Lethal PrescriptionInflict a total of 22 debuffs in a single battle
Break ExpertInflict Weakness Break 5 times in a single battle

Every character needed for these numbers is handed to you. Neon Dreamland is fully clearable on trial units, so account age and pull history do not gate the SS Rank. You only need to be Trailblaze Level 21 or higher to have the event unlocked at all — there are no prerequisite Trailblaze Missions attached to it.

Trial lineups for all four Neon Dreamland routes

Each route runs its own four-character team and its own exclusive buff. The lineups below are built so the carry on each route is the unit that benefits most from that route’s bonus.

RouteLineup
1Trailblazer (Physical), Himeko, Gallagher, Trailblazer (Imaginary)
2Argenti, Jade, Herta, Robin
3Boothill, Firefly, Ruan Mei, Trailblazer (Imaginary)
4Black Swan, Kafka, Acheron, Aventurine

Route 4 is the one that carries the debuff workload. Black Swan and Kafka stack damage over time, Acheron converts those stacks into Ultimate damage, and Aventurine keeps the team alive long enough for the count to climb past the Lethal Prescription threshold. Route 3 is the Break package, with Boothill and Firefly handling toughness and Ruan Mei amplifying the result.

Route buffs and slot placement

Minuscule Great Adventure attaches a different bonus to each route, and the assignment result improves based on how well your lineup lines up with it. The bonuses that appear across the stages are Leftmost Position Bonus, Elation Stat Bonus, Skill Bonus, and Ultimate Bonus.

Only one of them cares about ordering. On a route flagged with Leftmost Position Bonus, your main damage dealer has to sit in the first slot of the lineup — put a support there and you lose the effect entirely. The other three bonuses reward the type of damage a team produces, so match a Skill-heavy carry to Skill Bonus and an Ultimate-reliant carry to Ultimate Bonus.

Running the Neon Dreamland dispatch

Open the Travel Log and select Minuscule Great Adventure from the event list. The event entry sits alongside the other 4.5 activities and leads straight to the map screen.
Pick Neon Dreamland from the stage selection screen. The other three maps — Imagenesis Park, Celestial Chess Array, and Everwinter Hearth — are handled separately and do not share progress with it.

Open the lineup editor and fill Route 1 first, working left to right. Slot order matters on any route carrying the Leftmost Position Bonus, so place the damage dealer in the first position before adding supports.

Repeat for Routes 2, 3, and 4 using the trial characters listed above. Leave no route empty; an unfilled lineup costs you the stars tied to that path.
Start the challenge. Combat plays out automatically across four waves of chibi-scale fighting, and a Skip button is available if you do not want to watch it resolve.

Confirming the SS Rank and claiming rewards

The results screen is the confirmation. Each route shows a Victory panel, and the star total and rank letter appear alongside the Dispatch Rating. If the screen reads 12 stars and SS, the stage is finished and every reward tier is unlocked — running it again is optional.

The combat report breaks the run down route by route. Selecting a route shows its Final Stage Data, including damage totals and how each character performed, which is the fastest way to spot which team fell short of an objective threshold.

Rewards are claimed from the Adventure Star track on the Neon Dreamland map itself. They are not sent automatically, so open the reward list after the run.

Why a run lands below 12 stars

Failures here are almost always setup problems, not combat problems, because you cannot intervene once the dispatch starts. The short list of causes:

  • A damage dealer placed outside the first slot on a Leftmost Position Bonus route, which voids that bonus.
  • A carry mismatched to the route buff — for example, an Ultimate-focused unit dropped onto a Skill Bonus route.
  • A route sent out with fewer than four characters, or left unfilled entirely.
  • The debuff-oriented team split across routes, leaving the debuff count short of the objective threshold.

Tip: rebuild the lineups from scratch rather than swapping one character. Because the routes are scored against different bonuses, a single substitution can pull two teams below their thresholds at once.

Minuscule Great Adventure closes on September 28, 2026 at 03:59 (UTC+8), and Celestial Chess Array and Everwinter Hearth follow the same dispatch structure as Neon Dreamland. Clearing each map at SS as it opens keeps the 500 Stellar Jade and the single Tracks of Destiny comfortably within reach before the window shuts.
