ChatGPT has been enabling people to write codes, create essays, summarize long texts, and much more than that. It has only been a few months but the extensive popularity and use cases have enabled it to creep up into the daily lives of the working and learning population.
For the uninitiated, ChatGPT is an AI-based language processing model AKA chatbot in simpler terms. Its capabilities and use cases are increasing with each passing day. And along with the things mentioned earlier, it can also help you decide what to gift your 12-year-old niece, or even discuss your political and abstract ideas with it for fun.
Now, if your routine involves you frequently accessing ChatGPT now and then, it can be a real hassle to head to its website and key in your query.
Fortunately, if you also happen to use Microsoft Edge, which is the built-in browser for Windows, you can simply add it to your sidebar and summon the chatbot whenever and wherever you desire. You can also add it to the sidebar in Microsoft Edge on your Mac and not just Windows. And the best part is, it only takes a couple of clicks to make it more accessible to you.
Adding ChatGPT to Microsoft Edge Sidebar
To add ChatGPT to Microsoft Edge, simply launch the browser on your Windows computer/ Mac and click on the '+' icon situated in the sidebar.
After that, type chat.openai.com in the search bar and click on the 'ChatGPT' option below the search bar when it appears.
Then, click on the 'Add' button.
And voila! ChatGPT will be added to the sidebar and you will be able to summon the chatbot with just a single click. When you access it the first time, you will need to log in or sign up to use the chatbot.
Once you have logged in, you can easily type in your query and use ChatGPT as per your need and convenience. It will open in the sidebar on the tab you're currently working on, so that's multitasking at your fingertips!
That's all it takes, folks. As mentioned earlier, all that is required from your side is a couple of clicks and you will be able to chat with your favorite chatbot in a jiffy in the same tab.
