Windows 11 is out now publicly and Microsoft has even put up the links for direct downloading the latest stable builds of Windows 11 ISO.

The Windows 11 ISO file from Microsoft is a multi-edition file, which means you will have multiple editions of Windows 11 in one installer and to get the version of Windows 11 you own, you have to use the product key or the activation key.

Furthermore, make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements for Windows 11 and have TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled before installing the OS.

Downloading Windows 11 ISO (Latest build)

You can download the Window 11 ISO file directly from Microsoft’s website in a couple of clicks.

First, go to microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 webpage, and scroll down until you see the ‘Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO)’ section. Here, click on the ‘Select Download’ drop-down menu.

From the available options in the drop-down menu, select ‘Windows 11’ option.

After selecting ‘Windows 11’ from the list, click on the ‘Download’ button below the dropdown menu.

A new section will appear called ‘Select the product language’. Use the dropdown menu and select your preferred language. Note that this will be your default system language.

After selecting a language, click on the ‘Confirm’ button.

Finally, the actual ‘Download’ section will show up on the screen with a link to download the Windows 11 ISO. Click on the ’64-Bit Download’ button to initiate the download.

Once the download is finished, you can use the Windows 11 ISO file to create a bootable USB drive and use it to install Windows 11 on any supported computer.

How to Download Windows 11 Preview ISO

Microsoft also lets you download the Windows Insider preview builds of Windows 11 as an ISO file should you need it.

However, even with the Windows Preview 11 ISO file, you still need to enroll in the Windows Insider Program. Though, you need not worry about which Insider ‘Channels’ are available to you as once registered in Windows Insider Program, Microsoft will allow you to download even the ‘Dev Channel’ ISO build which you can then use for an in-place upgrade or a clean install on your machine.

1. Enroll into Windows Insider Program

You can enroll in Windows Insider Program using the Microsoft website or your Windows computer. We recommend doing it from your computer as the Microsoft website also redirects you to do complete the enrollment on your computer just after a few steps.

Note: If you are already enrolled in Windows Insider Program, you can skip this section and jump to the next one to download Windows 11 ISO File.

To do so, first head to the ‘Settings’ app from the Start Menu of your Windows computer.

Then, click on the ‘Update & Security’ tab from the left sidebar present on the ‘Settings’ window.

Next, click on the ‘Windows Insider Program’ tile present on the left sidebar of the ‘Settings’ window.

After that, click on the ‘Get Started’ button to start the procedure for enrolling.

Next, click on the ‘Register’ button present on the overlay ribbon on your screen.

Then, read the information regarding joining the Windows Insider Program and click on the ‘Sign Up’ button present on the overlay window.

After that, click on the checkbox preceding the ‘I’ve read and accept the terms of this agreement’ option and click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Once you are registered, you will receive a message stating so. Click on the ‘Close’ button from the overlay window to proceed further.

Next, click on the ‘Link an account’ option present on the blue ribbon to get started.

Now, select your Microsoft account and then click on the ‘Continue’ button from the overlay window present on your screen.

Then, you will be able to see all the available ‘Channels’ depending on your system. Now, click on any of the available ‘Channel’ to proceed further as Microsoft allows even ‘Release Preview Channel’ insiders to download ‘Dev’ or ‘Beta’ build ISOs from the website. Then, click the ‘Confirm’ button to proceed further.

After that, click on the ‘Confirm’ button present on the ribbon.

The next step is to restart your system to bind your email address and the system with the Windows Insider program. In order to do so, click the ‘Restart Now’ button present on the ribbon.

Once restarted, you will be enrolled in the Windows Insider Program. Let’s now learn how you can download a Windows 11 ISO officially.

2. Get Windows 11 Preview ISO from Microsoft Directly

Once you are enrolled in Windows Insider Program, downloading an ISO is as basic as it gets. So let’s dive right into it.

First, head to the microsoft.com/software-download/ and click on the ‘Sign in’ option at the top right section of the web page to access the site.

After signing in, scroll down to locate the ‘Select edition’ section on the “Windows Insider Preview Downloads” web page. Then, click on the drop-down menu present under the section and click to choose your preferred build of Windows Insider Preview.

Once selected, click on the ‘Confirm’ button situated right under the drop-down menu. This will reveal the ‘Select the product language’ section.

Then, select your preferred language using the drop-down menu available and click on the ‘Confirm’ button present under the section.

After hitting the ‘Confirm’ button, Microsoft will process your request and refresh the web page. You will now be able to see the download link for the Windows 11 Insider Preview of your selected edition which will be valid for 24 hours from the time of creation.

Now, Click on the ‘Download’ button to download the Windows 11 Insider Preview, and the download should begin immediately.
