Raise a Wisptis to level 29, open its evolution screen, and you will hit a wall: the Lightning branch asks for a Fulminous Soul, and nothing in the open world drops one. Fulmintis, the Lightning-type DPS form of Wisptis, cannot be caught in the wild, so the Soul is the only route to evolving your own.
Quick answer: Reaching Level 10 of the Advanced Edition in the Season 1 Companion Handbook awards the Fulminous Soul, a Legendary evolution material. The Advanced Edition costs $9.99 (or 680 Lumin Crystals), and no free acquisition method exists.
Where the Fulminous Soul comes from
The Fulminous Soul, also listed in-game as the Soul of Electric Shock, is tied to the Companion Handbook, Aniimo’s version of a seasonal battle pass. The pass has two tracks: the free Standard Edition and the paid Advanced Edition. Only the Advanced Edition contains the Soul.
Once you own the Advanced Edition, you earn Companion EXP through normal play, quests, battles, and exploration to push the Handbook forward. When it reaches Level 10, the Fulminous Soul lands in your inventory as a reward. You only need one, since it permanently unlocks the branching evolution rather than being consumed each time.
The Standard (free) track does not include the Soul at any level, and there are currently no wild drops, shop entries, alpha rewards, or events that hand it out separately.
Evolution requirements for Fulmintis
The Fulminous Soul is only half the cost. To trigger the evolution you also need to meet a level threshold and pay a stone cost.
- A Wisptis at Level 29 or higher.
- One Fulminous Soul in your inventory.
- Three Roar Stones to cover the evolution cost.
Roar Stones are Epic-grade materials for evolving Lightning Aniimo. Alpha Aniimos drop them; in Blitzwood, Alpha Blazen is located on a mountain south of Blitzwood Bloom.
How to evolve Wisptis into Fulmintis
You will know it worked when the evolution screen accepts the materials and Wisptis reshapes into Fulmintis, a Nova-stage Lightning DPS. From then on, the Fulmintis branch stays available for any future Wisptis you raise, as long as you supply the Roar Stones.
The branch you pick is permanent. A Wisptis sent down the Fulmintis path cannot later become Ignitis, the free Dark branch. If you want both forms, you need to raise two separate Wisptis.
Getting a Fulmintis without the Soul
If you do not want to buy the Advanced Edition, there is one free path to a single Fulmintis. Reaching Level 10 on the Standard (free) track awards an Incredible Fulmintis Egg. Hatch it and you are guaranteed a Fulmintis with Elite Potential or higher.
This gives you the creature, but not the ability to evolve Wisptis yourself, since the free track never grants the Soul. Because it is effectively a one-of-one for free players, it is worth using a Sparkling Cube to twine with that hatched Fulmintis and lock in Sparkling and Perfect Potential.
The paid tiers add cosmetics and extras on top. The Advanced Edition also includes a Prismana Fulmintis Egg that guarantees a Prismana Fulmintis on hatching, while the Keepsakes Companion Handbook, priced at $19.99, adds the Fulmintis Avatar Frame appearance item.
