Zoom Meetings not only helps working professionals to communicate with their colleagues, but it also helps normal people to connect with their loved ones. Especially, during this Covid-19 pandemic, people are using apps like Zoom to host virtual birthday parties, family reunions or even weddings.
How many persons can you invite for a Zoom Meeting? It depends on the type of plan/subscription. For example, Zoom Meeting Basic Plan (Free) allows you to invite up to 100 participants whereas Enterprise plan ($19.99/month) allows a maximum of 500 participants.
Invite People by Sharing Zoom Meeting Link
After creating a Zoom meeting, you can invite anyone to join it by simply sharing your Zoom Meeting link. It is the easiest method to invite people to a Zoom meeting.
From Zoom Desktop App
Open Zoom Desktop client on your computer. Then, click ‘New Meeting’ icon on the Home Screen of the Zoom app.
Click ‘Participants’ on the call toolbar or use ALT + U
keyboard shortcut to open the Participants panel.
The ‘Participants’ panel will appear on the right side of the meeting window. Click on the ‘Invite’ button located at the bottom of the participants panel.
On the Invite screen that pops up, click ‘Copy URL’ to copy your Zoom meeting link.
The copied link will have the meeting password embedded so you don’t need to send meeting password separately. Below is an example of a Zoom Meeting link that you get when you use the copy URL option.

part is the embedded password of the Zoom Meeting in the link. And 91002857179
is the Meeting ID.
You can share this link to the people who you want to invite to your Zoom meeting. They will be able to join the meeting by just clicking the link, no extra step.
If you would like to send an invite via email, then click the ‘Email’ tab on the Zoom Invite screen and select your preferred Email service. In this example, we’ll be using Gmail.
You will be automatically redirected to the ‘Compose’ window of your email service with details of joining the Zoom meeting pre-filled in the mail body.
All you have to do is just add the email address of the people you would like to invite and hit the ‘Send’ button.
From Zoom Mobile App
Launch Zoom app on your phone and tap ‘New Meeting’ from the main Zoom screen.
Configure meeting options if you wish, or continue with the default settings by tapping on the ‘Start a Meeting’ button.
Once you have joined the meeting, tap on the ‘Participants’ button at the bottom of the meeting screen to open the Participants panel.
Tap the ‘Invite’ button at the bottom of the Participants screen to get invitation options.
Then, from the available invitation options, select ‘Copy URL’ to copy the Zoom Meeting link to your clipboard.
Both the Meeting ID and Password will be embedded into the copied link. You can send the URL on Whatsapp, Telegram, Hangouts, Skype, Gmail or any other communication platform to invite people to your meeting.
Invite People by Sharing Zoom Meeting ID & Password
You can also invite people to join a Zoom meeting by providing the Meeting ID and Password.
Note: This method is simpler on the Desktop app only. Zoom no longer displays Meeting ID and Password of a meeting on the mobile apps due to security reasons. Though on Android devices, you may still find the option
Click the ‘Participants’ button on the call toolbar on the Zoom meeting window and then click on the ‘Invite’ button on the Participants panel.
On the Invite window, click the ‘Copy Invitation’ button to copy all details of the Zoom meeting.
The following details will be copied to your clipboard.

You can then share the Zoom meeting ID and password extracted from the invitation details with the relevant people to invite them to the meeting.
There is also an alternate way on the Zoom Desktop app to get meeting ID and password of an ongoing meeting. After you’ve joined a meeting, click the ‘Information’ icon on the top left corner of the Zoom meeting screen.
Make a note of the Meeting ID and password on Notepad or any text editor.
You can then share the Zoom meeting ID & password with the people who you want to invite to the meeting.
