Kasane Teto has been rumored for Fortnite for well over a year. In October 2026, the rumor got its first in-game evidence. Birdbrain, a song by Jamie Paige featuring Kasane Teto, is set to play on the island near the One Piece treasure chest. Epic Games has not announced a collab, but the music fits a familiar pattern. Fortnite often places a collab’s songs in the world before the skins go on sale.
Quick answer: Not officially. Birdbrain (Jamie Paige ft. Kasane Teto) is in Fortnite’s files and plays near the One Piece treasure chest, but Epic Games has not confirmed a skin or a date.
Kasane Teto’s Birdbrain at the One Piece treasure chest
On October 15th, 2026, the dataminers HYPEX, Shiina, Wensoing, and Luwwani found four songs queued for a daily rotation. Each one plays near the One Piece treasure chest whenever the chest appears. Birdbrain is one of them. A second track features Hatsune Miku.
| Song | Artist | Featured vocalist |
|---|---|---|
| Birdbrain | Jamie Paige | Kasane Teto |
| Miku | Anamanaguchi | Hatsune Miku |
| Riot | A$AP Rocky | None |
| What You Saying | Lil Uzi Vert | None |
All four artists showing up together has led players to expect all four as skins in the next One Piece mini-season. That grouping is a guess, not a leaked lineup. The files only show the songs. They do not show outfits, prices, or bundle contents.
You can check this yourself. When the One Piece treasure chest spawns, stand near it and listen to the rotation. If Birdbrain plays, the song is live in the game.

Treat any screenshot of a Teto Item Shop listing with care. Fan concepts and custom-model clips spread every time the rumor flares up. None of them comes from Epic.
Kasane Teto Fortnite rumor timeline
The Birdbrain find builds on several earlier hints. Some pointed toward a collab, and one pushed against it.
| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| January 2025 | Festival teaser text reads “Mesmerizing Miku Items in the Shop” |
| October 17th, 2025 | Shiina and HYPEX post that Teto is coming “soon” |
| October 2025 | Twindrill denies any involvement |
| March 2026 | Official Fortnite account replies to a fan about Teto |
| October 15th, 2026 | Birdbrain found in the chest music rotation |
The 2025 teaser line was read as a nod to “Mesmerizer,” a Satsuki song that features both Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto. Twindrill manages Teto’s character. After the October 2025 leak, the team said it receives inquiries but is not involved in any Fortnite partnership. Epic stayed silent then and has stayed silent since.
The Twindrill statement is the main reason for caution, and it came out a year ago. Licensing can change in that time. The new evidence is a licensed song that features Teto, which does not prove that her character has been licensed too.
Kasane Teto skin release window
Epic has given no official date for a Kasane Teto skin. Birdbrain’s link to the One Piece chest points to the next One Piece mini-season as the likeliest timing, though Epic has yet to announce when that season starts.
Fortnite Festival is the other likely home. Teto is a virtual singer, and Hatsune Miku already went through Festival. Any Teto release would probably come with Jam Tracks, and possibly arrive alongside a new Miku item. Some older rumors pointed to Chapter 7 Season 1 in December. That timing no longer applies, because the game has moved well past that season.
For now, Birdbrain is the only Teto-related thing you can experience in Fortnite. Hearing it near the One Piece chest is the strongest sign yet that Epic is preparing something. Until the official Fortnite channels post her, though, a Kasane Teto skin is still unannounced.
