Jaguar Ring in Windrose: Crafting Recipe and Crit Stats

The Jaguar Ring is a rare accessory in Windrose that adds a flat 7.5% to your critical hit chance whenever it's equipped in the ring slot. It sits in the middle of a three-tier line, above the Minor Jaguar Ring and below the Major Jaguar Ring, and it's the version most players settle on once they've started pulling Sapphire from the world.

Quick answer: Craft the Jaguar Ring at a Jewelery Table using 10 Silver Ingots and 2 Sapphire. The table itself must be placed indoors, under a roof, and within range of a Bonfire to function.

Jaguar Ring stats and slot

The Jaguar Ring occupies the ring accessory slot. Characters get three accessory slots total, one ring, one necklace, and one miscellaneous, so only a single ring effect can be active at a time. The crit-chance bonus is a flat additive value, meaning it adds directly to whatever crit chance you've already built from talents, stats, and other gear.

Crafting recipe at the Jewelery Table

The Jewelery Table is the only way to make the ring. Before you can place one, you need to gather Wood, Foothills Iron Ingot, and Silver Ingot for the workbench itself, then set it up indoors with a Bonfire nearby. If the table isn't sheltered or isn't in range of a fire, it won't activate.

Once the table is operational, the Jaguar Ring recipe becomes straightforward.

Sapphire is the gating material here. Until you have a steady source of it, the Minor Jaguar Ring (made with Silver Ingots alone) is the placeholder.

The full Jaguar Ring tier line

All three tiers share the same effect and only differ in magnitude. The crafting path moves up as you unlock better metals and gems, so the Major version becomes the long-term goal for any crit-focused build.

How the crit chance stacks

The +7.5% from the Jaguar Ring is added on top of every other crit-chance source in your build rather than multiplied. On a one-handed melee character, that pool typically includes the Surgical Cuts talent, points spent in the Mastery stat, the Necklace of Mastery, and any Privateer Set bonuses that contribute to crit chance. Each piece feeds the same number, so the ring's value scales with everything else you've already invested in.

The practical breakpoint to aim for is the rate at which a full melee combo, several light hits plus a heavy, lands at least one crit reliably instead of occasionally. The ring is one of the cleanest single-slot contributions toward that goal, since the ring slot rarely offers a competing damage option for crit builds.

Jaguar (crit chance) and Cutthroat (crit damage) stack cleanly. Wear a Jaguar-line ring and pair it with Cutthroat sources elsewhere to turn each crit into a much bigger spike.

When the Jaguar Ring is worth a slot

The ring shines on any one-handed melee weapon whose light and heavy chains can crit. The headline pairing is the ascended Bonebreaker in the V5 Bone Breaking Brawler loadout, where the weapon itself rolls +10% crit chance once ascended and the Privateer Set adds more on top. Layering the ring on those bonuses pushes the full swing chain past the threshold where at least one crit per combo becomes reliable.

It's a weaker pick on builds that win through specials that can't crit. The Plague Halberd boarding bomber rotation and the Arboris Saber 360-degree slam are the clearest examples. On those weapons, the +7.5% only applies to the basic chain and contributes little to the burst windows that define the build.

Reclaiming materials if you swap rings

Any ring crafted at the Jewelery Table can be broken down at the Disassembly Table, which returns part of the silver used to make it. If you change builds and want to switch to a different ring effect, disassembling the old one recovers some of the cost rather than leaving it stranded in storage.

Upgrading to the Major Jaguar Ring

Once you have steadier access to higher-tier materials, the Epic-tier Major Jaguar Ring is the natural upgrade and bumps the bonus to +10% crit chance. The crafting station and slot stay the same, so the only thing changing in your loadout is the magnitude of the effect; no other gear needs to be reworked around it.

For most crit-leaning melee builds in Windrose, the rare Jaguar Ring is the version you'll wear for the longest stretch of the game: cheap enough to craft as soon as you have Sapphire, strong enough to push your combos over the threshold where crits feel consistent rather than lucky.
