JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit Hall of Trials Unlock Requirements for Every Mode

Exact conditions to open the Hall of Trials and each combat mode inside it, plus what each one rewards.

The Hall of Trials is the combat hub in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit where you grind for gear, materials, and account-wide bonuses. It sits in the bottom bar of the main lobby, but you cannot open it right away, and most of the modes inside stay locked behind their own conditions. Here is exactly what unlocks the Hall, what unlocks every mode within it, and what each one gives you.

Quick answer: Reach Quest Level 3 to open the Hall of Trials and its first mode, the Entrance Exam. Every other mode opens by clearing a specific Normal-mode stage or hitting a higher Quest Level, as listed in the table below.

How to open the Hall of Trials

The Hall of Trials unlocks at Quest Level 3. Raising your Quest Level is straightforward. You clear daily quests, which pushes the level up, and each new level also raises your characters’ level cap and hands you free rewards along the way.

Quest Level and the main campaign feed into each other, so pushing one helps unlock the other. That two-way gate is how the game paces its content, and it is why some Hall of Trials modes also ask you to clear a set story stage before they appear.

You know it worked when the Hall of Trials icon in the bottom bar becomes tappable and the Entrance Exam is available inside.

Entrance Exam: protect Giorno’s flame

The Entrance Exam is a protection fight. You must keep Giorno Giovanna’s flame lit for the whole battle, and you cannot buff or debuff him. If the flame goes out, Shadow Sabbath starts attacking. You lose the run if Shadow Sabbath defeats Giorno.

You can debuff Shadow Sabbath and use crowd control on him, so build your lineup around keeping him locked down. Joseph Joestar is a free SR you get from the start, and his Hermit Purple Ultimate can Stun and bind enemies with a chance to Immobilize, which is useful for holding Shadow Sabbath off Giorno.

Koichi Hirose also joins in as support after some time has passed. Tap his icon to trigger Reverb Act 3, whose gravity field pins Shadow Sabbath for 5 seconds, so save it for when the flame is at risk.

Gear and material modes: Extreme Trial and SPW Request

Extreme Trial is your source for Dramatic Scenes. The combat is a straight scaling challenge, so you clear enemy waves and get rewarded based on how fast you finish the dungeon. Dramatic Scenes equip onto characters for attribute bonuses, each with its own tier and type, and they carry set bonuses you can enhance to raise the base stats.

Extreme Trial – Team is the same challenge played with two other players. You can invite friends or use online matchmaking to form a team. One rule matters here: a character you have already deployed in a round cannot be reused in later rounds, so plan with your teammates to spread your rosters across every round.

SPW Request is the idle expedition mode. You send party members out for a set time and they return with rewards. You can run 3 investigation parties at once, expandable up to 5 slots as you level. Higher-rarity characters investigate more efficiently, and they bring back Gold and Investigation Intelligence.

Spend that Investigation Intelligence in the Collectible Search tab to search for collectibles. Those collectibles grant attribute bonuses that apply to every character on your account, which makes them some of the most valuable rewards in the whole hub.

Survival and boss modes: Bloody Battle and World Boss

Bloody Battle is the roguelike mode. You fight through waves of enemies while randomised boons appear at intervals, and your goal is to survive for a set amount of time. Dynamic weather changes the fight. A Snowstorm, for example, inflicts Chill on everyone, cutting Attack Speed by 30% for 10 seconds. Check the weather in the upper-right corner before you start.

World Boss comes in two flavours. The single-server version unlocks the next boss once you earn an SSS rating on the current one. The cross-server version rotates its boss every week and fixes all characters at level 100, so it is a test of team composition rather than raw investment.

Note: before any fight, a thumbs-up icon appears on characters the game marks as “recommended” for that battle. It is worth watching, since the highest-damage pick is not always the right answer for a given boss or objective.

Uncharted Journey: the exploration mode

Uncharted Journey is the most hands-on mode and plays like Minesweeper. The game calls it “Exploration,” and you keep tapping adjacent tiles until you find the exit, which also serves as the entrance to the next level. Every tap costs Stamina.

Each tile hides an empty space, prisoners, a shop, or the exit. Shops and upgrade points let you grab a consumable, up to three, that can grant boons like a cheaper next tap or a preview of the exit. Rest points restore a set amount of Stamina. It is all random, but it rewards careful tapping.

If the tile-tapping is not for you, there are two combat-first alternatives. Maneuver Mode runs 12 phases with a single final battle. Onslaught Mode runs only 5 phases with a battle at the end of each phase, which is the quicker route if you would rather skip the exploration layer.

Double Clash

Double Clash unlocks by clearing N8-10 on Normal mode, but it is not live yet and is marked as coming soon. There is no confirmed release date for it at this time.

With the unlock conditions above in hand, the fastest way to open the whole Hall of Trials is to keep pushing the main campaign and clearing daily quests together, since both routes feed the level and stage gates that each mode depends on.
