Kaiju Alpha is a giant-monster PvP game where your income and levels both come from one thing: damaging other players’ kaiju. That single rule shapes the whole power curve. The monsters that can hit several players at once from range earn faster and dominate fights, while slow melee-only picks fall behind no matter how they look on paper. The ranking below sorts the roster by that reality, with the endgame kaiju sitting far ahead of everything else.
Quick answer: Destoroyah and Space Godzilla are the two strongest picks in the game right now. A level 200 Space Godzilla clears a crowd in two button presses, and Destoroyah remains overpowered even after a nerf.

Kaiju Alpha tier list (Update 39 roster)
Kaiju Alpha uses player-allocated skill points, so two players on the same monster carry different numbers and no fixed per-kaiju stat table exists. Because of that, this order reflects how each kaiju performs in play and where its unlock sits on the price scale, not invented damage figures. You can try any of them yourself in the live game on Roblox.
| Tier | Kaiju |
|---|---|
| S | Destoroyah (Perfect Form, Final Form, Form 4), Space Godzilla |
| A | Shimo, Monster X, Monster Zero, Mechagodzilla 2021, Godzilla 2019 |
| B | Biollante, Heisei Godzilla, Godzilla 2000, Shin Godzilla, Showa Hedorah |
| C | Showa-era Godzillas, Showa Gigan, Showa Rodan, Mothra Larva, Godzilla 2014, Gigan 1964 |
| D | Godzilla 1955 |
Freshness note: This ranking reflects the August 2026 meta and the roster through Update 39 (Showa Gigan). Several very recent additions have no reliable performance track record yet and are left out rather than slotted in on a guess.

Add to Google Preferences →S tier: the endgame kaiju that outclass the roster
Destoroyah is the monster players complain about most. It received a nerf and is still treated as overpowered afterward, which makes it the clearest example of the gap between endgame kaiju and everything below. It appears in several forms, and the developer has shipped it repeatedly through updates. No public figures describe exactly what the nerf changed, so how much of that lead survives is a matter of opinion rather than record.
Space Godzilla is the cleanest illustration of the power gap. At level 200 it wipes out a crowd in two presses, and it has a real farming routine to go with the raw output. The setup is skill 2 followed by V to build a crystal garden, then detonate, or skill 4 to drag a group in first. Since assists pay full cells and both cells and XP come from damage, catching several players at once is worth more than a single clean kill. It sits at the top of the price scale at 500,000 G-cells.

A tier: reliable endgame and near-endgame picks
Shimo sits in the same 500,000 G-cell band as Space Godzilla. Its strength is that kills charge its Sky Blast, so the routine snowballs once a fight is already going your way. Nobody has ranked it directly against Space Godzilla, but it is squarely an endgame option.
Monster X is the value entry here. At 200,000 G-cells with no kaiju prerequisites, it is the cheapest documented route into the upper roster, roughly 40 percent of the Space Godzilla price, and you can buy it outright. Monster Zero is unlocked through a skull-collection objective rather than a straight purchase, and its farming line is charging voltage into skill 5.
Mechagodzilla 2021 and Godzilla 2019 round out this band as fast, dependable fighters. Mechagodzilla 2021 delivers high sustained damage with quick attacks and strong cell farming, while Godzilla 2019 balances offense and defense with reliable atomic pressure and solid survivability. Both hold up well in PvP without needing perfect execution.
| Kaiju | Unlock cost |
|---|---|
| Space Godzilla | 500,000 G-cells |
| Shimo | 500,000 G-cells |
| Monster X | 200,000 G-cells, no prerequisites |
| Monster Zero | Skull-collection objective |
| Destoroyah | Not stated |

B tier: strong picks while you save toward endgame
Biollante is the recommended beginner pick. It is the one starter monster called out by name as the best place to begin, with the honest caveat that it is still slow. Its wide plant-based attacks cover several targets at once, which suits building and crowd farming.
Heisei Godzilla is the mid-roster farmer to know about. Its pulse and twin beams let you snipe a crowd from range instead of walking into it, and reach matters more than raw kills because damage spread across more players pays more. Shin Godzilla earns its spot on angle coverage, with a back beam and tail beam that make it hard to approach from behind.
Godzilla 2000 is high risk, high reward. Spamming atomic breath into a crowd spreads damage across several players, but you become a target, so break away and hide once you have done it. Showa Hedorah is the most usable of the Showa monsters, offering decent survivability and farming while you build up.

C and D tiers: slow, melee-locked, and near-unusable picks
The Showa-era roster is the weak block. Showa Godzillas, Showa Gigan, Showa Rodan and Mothra Larva are slow, carry long cooldowns, and struggle in practice. The core problem is reach. A kaiju with no ranged option has to walk into the pile to earn anything, which is the worst way to farm cells. Godzilla 2014 and Gigan 1964 are fine for learning the basic controls but fall off quickly and lack late-game viability.
Godzilla 1955 sits alone at the bottom as near-unusable, the harshest verdict given to any single monster in the game. If you are choosing between saving your cells and buying it, save.
Note: A large part of the roster, including Godzilla Minus One, King Ghidorah, Queen MUTO, Kong 2021, Skar King and Godzilla Aquatilis, exists in the game but has no reliable performance data behind it. Those monsters are intentionally left off this list rather than placed on a guess.

How this ranking was decided
Each placement rests on four things, in this order. First, how well a kaiju damages several players at once, since that drives both cells and XP. Second, its demonstrated PvP output in real fights. Third, where its unlock sits on the price scale, which runs from a couple hundred thousand G-cells up toward a million. Fourth, the developer’s own patch record for what has been added or changed. Aesthetics, lore, and popularity carry no weight here.
The currency is G-cells, usually shortened to cells. If you have seen the term U-cells elsewhere, it comes from an older, since-rereleased version of the game and no longer applies. When you are still building up, favor reach over raw power, keep one dependable farmer while you level a combat pick, and put your cells toward a single endgame goal rather than several small upgrades that delay it.
