Kick a Lucky Block Mutations: Multipliers and Luck Boosts

Mutations in Kick a Lucky Block are rare rolls that change a brainrot's appearance and multiply both its earning rate and sale value. Every kick has a hidden chance to produce a mutated brainrot, and stacking luck boosters is the only way to shift those odds in your favor.

Quick answer: There are five mutations — Gold (1.5x), Diamond (2x), Plasma (4x), Molten (6x), and Radioactive (8x). Mutations roll randomly when a lucky block opens, and a brainrot can only carry one mutation at a time.

All mutation multipliers

Each mutation applies a flat multiplier to both the brainrot's cash-per-second and its sale price. Radioactive sits at the top with an 8x multiplier, but it's also the hardest to roll.

MutationMultiplierRelative rarity
Gold1.5xMost common
Diamond2xCommon
Plasma4xUncommon
Molten6xRare
Radioactive8xRarest

The multiplier applies to the base brainrot's stats, so pairing a high-tier mutation with an already strong unit produces the biggest income spikes.

How mutations roll

When a lucky block opens after a kick, the game performs a roll that can either reveal a base brainrot or a mutated version. The exact drop rates are not published in-game, so mutations behave as a pure luck event modified by any active boosts.

A brainrot can only hold one mutation. There is no swapping, stacking, or upgrading a mutation after the block has been opened, which makes the initial roll the only chance to lock in a high multiplier on that unit.

Ways to raise your mutation luck

Four stackable factors influence the odds of pulling a mutated brainrot. Combining them during the same kick gives the best practical chance at a higher-tier roll.

Global Luck events. Server-wide events trigger at random intervals and run for up to five minutes. They can push luck to 2x, 4x, or 8x for every player on the server. Queue up as many kicks as possible while the event is live.

Perfect Kicks. Timing a kick cleanly applies a temporary luck bonus to that block's roll. Landing perfect kicks consistently is the most reliable free booster available.

Mutation Luck gamepass. The 2x Mutation Luck gamepass in the Store permanently doubles your base mutation chance. It costs 139 Robux and stacks with event and kick bonuses.

Kick Power. Higher Kick Power feeds into the luck calculation, so investing in power upgrades indirectly improves mutation odds on top of opening blocks faster.

Stacking the boosts

Boosts multiply rather than replace each other. A Perfect Kick during an 8x Global Luck event with the Mutation Luck gamepass active is the highest practical ceiling for a single roll. Save your kicks on rarer blocks for these windows whenever possible, since the mutation multiplier compounds with the brainrot's base value.

Other mechanics worth knowing

Traits do not exist yet. Unlike some other brainrot games, there is no separate Traits system attached to units here. Mutations are the only modifier that changes a brainrot's stats.

Gifting unlocks on day two. The gifting feature becomes available the second calendar day after you first join the game. You do not need to accumulate 24 hours of playtime — logging in the next day is enough.

No multi-mutation rolls. A brainrot cannot carry Gold and Diamond at the same time, and there is no in-game method to change an existing mutation.

Which mutation to chase

Radioactive is the strongest mutation on paper with an 8x multiplier, and it's the target for players who want maximum income per slot. Molten and Plasma are more realistic frequent rolls that still quadruple or sextuple a brainrot's value, and Gold or Diamond on a top-tier unit will often outperform a Plasma roll on a weaker one. Focus luck stacking on the rarest blocks you can open to get the highest expected return from each mutated pull.
