The Season of Competition has been running since July 14th, and it stops with the next maintenance. Legend of YMIR’s September 22nd update closes out Season 3, expands the Nidavellir area, and brings Blazons into the picture, with a fresh event round-up and a new YMIR Pass posted alongside the maintenance notice on the official site.
Quick answer: The September 22nd maintenance ends the Season of Competition. Check your season rankings and register your collection items before servers go down. The same update expands Nidavellir and adds Blazons.
What changes in the September 22nd update
Three things carry this patch. The season ends, Nidavellir gets a new area expansion, and Blazons appear in the update notes as a growth track of their own. The maintenance notice, the event round-up and the pass announcement all went up on the official site ahead of the downtime, which is the usual publishing pattern for this game.
The season end was not the original plan. The August 25th update pushed the Season of Competition back from September 8th to September 22nd, before update, which is why the closing date lines up exactly with this maintenance window.
| Update | Main focus |
|---|---|
| July 21st | Server merge, Server Transfer for Lv. 40+ |
| August 25th | Season extension, Gulltoppr, new Field Bosses |
| September 1st | Inter-Server matching, server stabilization |
| September 22nd | Season end, Nidavellir expansion, Blazons |
Season of Competition end: What to do before maintenance
Season 3 content does not survive the patch. Battlefront content and its maps close out with the season, and the season-limited items and buffs tied to it go with them. Anything that depends on the season being live needs to be settled while servers are still up.

The season’s login track, Fierce Battle 20-Day Check-In, ran on the same clock. Its Day 20 reward was a +7 Golden Blowhorn Package, and the top individual ranking rewards ran up to a +15 Golden Blowhorn Package with a Supernal Horn.

Season-limited items and buffs end with the season itself, not on a separate grace timer. Once maintenance begins, there is no post-update window to spend them.
Events in the September 22nd round-up
Patch notes list systems, and a separate New Event Round-Up notice lists what you can actually claim. The September 22nd round-up covers check-in rewards, mission tasks, gacha-style reliquaries and event collections, with pulls priced in Diamonds and Silver depending on the event.

| Event | Type |
|---|---|
| Vidar’s Hunting Support 14-Day Check-In | Check-in |
| Sigrun’s Legendary Support Task I | Mission |
| Clan Support Task | Mission |
| Muninn’s Blazon Enhancement Task | Mission |
| Qiulong’s Auspicious Aura Task | Mission |
| Andvari’s Hidden Reliquary | Draw |
| Andvari’s Hidden Boon | Special |
| Andvari’s Secret Key | Special |
| Autumn Expedition | Expedition |
| Rune Letter Event: Reliquary | Draw |
| Autumn’s Fruit | Collection |
On its reward days, the check-in track grants Vidar’s Special Hunting Draught buffs. Mission events remain the primary reward path, with progress claimed through the mission menu instead of a separate event window; Sigrun’s Legendary Support Task I and Muninn’s Blazon Enhancement Task therefore appear alongside your dailies.

Golden Autumn: Valkyrie and Disir retry event
Failed combines get a second pass. The Golden Autumn retry event covers Valkyrie and Disir combines that failed at the Legendary and Mythical steps, with its own schedule and a separate distribution date for the compensated results. It runs as part of the Golden Autumn block of notices, which also included a bonus event tied to payment milestones posted on September 17th.
Check your Valkyrie and Disir collection counts and your combine failure consolation rewards in the combine menu before the retry window opens, so you know which failed attempts are actually covered.
Field bosses and inter-server content
Open-world farming and field-boss hunts are not part of the season, allowing them to continue through the patch. Level 45 characters can still encounter Valgrusa as a field target, while the Canyon of Nidavellir floors remain standard grind areas accessed by teleporting from the world map. The two field bosses introduced in August retain their set weekly time slots.
| Field Boss | Day | Time | Area |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wrath of the Earth Bergbernd | Thu | 19:00 – 20:00 | (Normal) Myrkrheim |
| Divine Beast of Void Ulnos | Sat | 19:00 – 20:00 | (Normal) Glasir Forest |
Both appear in normal areas, and unlike bosses in inter-server areas they drop only one Golden Chest per kill. Conquerors can shift the spawn time of field bosses on their own server, so the listed hour is the default rather than a guarantee. Boss appearance times are shown in the gWEMIX Info Window, not the quest tracker, which is worth checking before you commit to a run.
Anything that pools players across servers still runs on the matching logic reworked in the September 1st maintenance, which paired Inter-Server matching adjustments with server stabilization work.
| Content | Type | Entry note |
|---|---|---|
| Hall of Gold (Inter-Server) | Farming zone | Recharge entry time first |
| Nidhogg II | Raid | Joined from the raid menu |
| Laubaur IV | Expedition | Party-based boss run |
| Canyon of Nidavellir 1F | Open field | Standard server, map teleport |
Growth systems that do not change
Destruction can still occur during enhancement, particularly at the higher stages. An attempt to take a High Quality Binder to +8 may destroy it. The August changes to Multi-Enhance and Auto-Enhance affected only the pacing below the safe threshold: choosing +6 or above now takes you directly to the safe enhancement level in one action.
Crafting recipes such as Fafnir’s Ring remain material-gated, and the crafting window lists exactly what is missing before you commit.

Companions progress through two independent systems. In the combine menu, merge Valkyrie cards; transcendence is performed separately with a Crystal Stone of Transcendence, allowing the Legendary companion Bluni to attain Tier 1. The Mythical companion Gulltoppr is the next level, created by combining Legendary companions and capable of transcending through stage 3. Fragment costs still apply to companion crafting: a Supernal [L] Horn (Bound) requires 60 Signus’s Memory Fragments.
The smaller inventory features follow their established procedures. Use Lucky Totem directly from the bag to open the lottery window, collect stacked Norn’s Treasure claims with Obtain All, and unlock the Mastery Tier 1 nodes for accuracy, evasion, health and PvP defense one by one through the mastery menu.

How to confirm the update applied to your client
When events remain absent after restarting, the likely issue is an incomplete client update or connecting to a server still returning online, rather than the account lacking an entitlement.
After September 22nd, no additional details are confirmed. Each maintenance receives its patch notes one or two days beforehand; rewards are described in a separate event round-up, followed by a completion notice when the servers are back. Dates, content lists or reward tables circulating for later patches are unconfirmed.
