The Legendary Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor is the top-rarity version of Palworld’s end-game heat gear, pairing heavy defense with a strong attack bonus so you can push through volcanic zones without melting. You can’t unlock it from the technology tree. The recipe only appears once its schematic is sitting in your inventory, and that schematic comes from a short list of specific places.
Quick answer: Get the Legendary Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor Schematic by beating Marcus and Faleris or Axel and Orserk in Hard Mode, or by opening Treasure Boxes and digging up Treasure Map spots. Keep the schematic in your inventory, then craft the armor at an Ancient Workbench with Paloxite Ingot x60, AI Core x10, Thermal Core x12, and Ancient Civilization Parts x9.
Where the Legendary Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor Schematic drops
This is a Palworld 1.0 item, and the schematic has more than one source. The two most reliable are Hard Mode tower bosses. Both have a low drop rate, so plan on repeating each fight several times before the recipe shows up.
Beat Marcus and Faleris in Hard Mode
Marcus and Faleris wait at the PIDF Tower on the easternmost edge of the Desiccated Desert, at coordinates 556, 336. You have to defeat them once in Normal Mode before the Hard Mode version of the fight unlocks, and only the Hard Mode clear can drop the schematic.

Beat Axel and Orserk in Hard Mode
Axel and Orserk are at the Eternal Pyre Tower in the center of the Volcano region, at coordinates -593, -527. Activate the fast travel statue near the tower to reach them quickly. As with the desert pair, clear them once in Normal Mode first, then run the Hard Mode fight for a chance at the schematic.

Treasure Boxes and Treasure Maps
If you’d rather skip the boss grind, certain Treasure Boxes can also contain the schematic. Treasure Maps work too. Use one, travel to the spot it marks, and dig up the reward. Both routes carry the same low odds, so a map may hand you something else entirely on any given dig.

Once the schematic is in your bag, the Legendary Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor is built only at the Ancient Workbench. The recipe leans on late-game components, so stock up on Paloxite Ingots and Ancient Civilization Parts before you head to the bench.

The finished armor carries four passive effects: Heat Resistance Lv. 3, Cold Resistance Lv. 2, Fire Damage Reduction Lv. 1, and Attack Up (S) Lv. 4. That higher heat rating is the headline upgrade over lower rarities, which cap out at Heat Resistance Lv. 2.
Legendary vs. common stats
Every combat number climbs when you move from the common Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor to the Legendary version. Durability sees the biggest jump, quadrupling so the piece survives far longer before it needs repairs.
| Stat | Legendary | Regular |
|---|---|---|
| Defense | 1092 | 840 |
| HP | 3120 | 2400 |
| Durability | 100000 | 25000 |
Because the numbers only move up, the Legendary schematic is a straight upgrade once you can spare the extra Ancient Civilization Parts.
How to confirm the recipe unlocked
With the schematic in your inventory, the Legendary Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor appears as a craftable option at the Ancient Workbench. If it isn’t showing up, the schematic is almost always the reason. Storing it in a chest removes access, so it has to stay on you when you visit the bench.
The only other common blocker is a missing ingredient. Move the schematic back into your bag, gather the full material list, and the recipe becomes selectable.
