Lego Batman Mayhem 02 Walkthrough: Amusement Mile to the Funhouse Hideout

Every objective in the Joker and Harley segment, from the Snowy Cones ice cream puzzle to opening the secret Funhouse gate.

Every objective in the Joker and Harley segment, from the Snowy Cones ice cream puzzle to opening the secret Funhouse gate.

A rocket crashes into Gotham, Colonel Rick Flag lands with a squad of A.R.G.U.S. agents, and North Island goes into lockdown. In the chaos, a Gotham Zoo van plows through a barricade and two hyena puppies get loose — which is how Joker and Harley Quinn end up climbing the stairs into Amusement Mile to claim the old carnival as their base of operations. The segment that follows is short, but it gates progress behind three things: an ice cream machine, two lost puppies, and a locked service gate.

Quick answer: Make ice cream at Snowy Cones to unlock Joker’s Paintball Pelter, rescue the hyena puppies Bud and Lou, then send a hyena through the vent to open the gate beside the Funhouse.

Snowy Cones: Make the ice cream and unlock Joker’s Paintball Pelter

Control starts as the pair walk up toward the Snowy Cones ice cream shop. Smash everything along the way for studs — there is no timer here — and head inside.

Enter the parlor. Joker wants his toy out of the clown machine, and the machine only pays out once it gets served ice cream. Three ingredients are missing.
Collect the bananas in the room, pull the milk out of the fridge, and grab the sugar from the counter. All three sit in plain sight inside the shop.
Put all the ingredients into the dispenser, then give the completed cone to the clown machine. The machine opens and awards Joker’s Paintball Pelter, a powerful ranged weapon.
Test the Pelter on the targets in the room before you leave. Break the background scenery for extra studs, then head back out to the boardwalk.

Rescue Bud from the rooftop coaster structure

Several rival thugs are waiting outside by the staircase. Use melee attacks against most of them, while Joker’s crew summons can reduce their numbers more quickly. After clearing the stairs, a cutscene shows the first hyena puppy stranded atop the rooftop coaster framework.

Go into the maintenance building next to the coaster. Waves of henchmen spawn inside, so clear them out before touching anything else.
Switch to Harley and use her acrobatics on the cart mechanism. That lowers the cart holding the puppy down to your level.
Grab the puppy. Harley names him Bud, Joker agrees to keep him, and the route toward the second hyena opens.

Stop the coaster car and free Lou

The second puppy is worse off — trapped in a coaster car that is still running laps of the track. Before you can do anything about it, the game introduces the brute enemy type on the coaster platform.

Fight the brute and his henchmen. Brutes telegraph a charge attack, and the encounter is built to teach you to dodge the charge rather than block it. Counter once the charge whiffs.
Use Joker’s glove gun on the mechanism box beside the track to pull it open and expose the gears inside.
Swap to Harley and fire her gum gun into the gears. The coaster cart grinds to a halt and the puppy is freed. Harley names the green-collared one Lou, and both hyenas run off to play.

Keep both puppies in mind — they are not a cosmetic reward. Bud and Lou are the key to the gate at the end of the level.

Open the secret gate and enter the Funhouse hideout

From the coaster platform, the route runs along the carnival boardwalk toward the main Funhouse building. Smash whatever you pass for studs; there is nothing to solve until you reach the fenced-off gate beside the Funhouse.

At the locked gate, have Harley summon Bud and Lou. The vent duct next to the fence is sized for a puppy, not for a person.
Take direct control of one hyena and walk it through the vent system to the other side.
Pull the lever at the far end of the vent. That releases the security gate and hands control back to the main pair.
Switch to Harley, smash the debris piled behind the gate, and step onto the floor switch underneath it.

You will know it worked when the way into the secret funhouse hideout opens and the mission segment ends on the entry. Nothing else in the area needs to be cleared first.

Finding Amusement Mile on the Gotham map later

Amusement Mile sits in East End, the northernmost district of Gotham on North Island, alongside Gotham General and the winding road up to Arkham Asylum. The district unlocks for free exploration once Chapter Three begins, and its radio tower is at coordinates 354,885.

When Batman gets the “Seeing Is Believing — Go to Amusement Mile” objective, the fastest approach is the Batmobile across the bridge under the neon Amusement Mile Parking signs, straight into the carnival entrance. Eject at the boardwalk, then glide past the roller coaster tracks toward the lit Tunnel of Love facade. The red coin-operated machine outside raises the heart-shaped shutters and lets you walk in to the door marked with four pictorial tiles.

Amusement Mile stays worth revisiting after the story moves on. Two of the district’s AR trials — one combat trial at 472,771 and the traversal trial at 394,811 — are completed as part of the story, so the only thing left on those is earning gold, and the park is dense with collectibles once you have the gadgets to reach them.
