Lemonade Serenade Rod in Fisch: Fastest Way to Unlock It

Clear Captain Conch's Fischfest questline, then trade 20 Lagoon Lemonades at the Sunshell Merchant.

The Lemonade Serenade is a Fischfest 2 event rod in Fisch, and it is priced in drinks rather than coins or shells. You buy it from the Sunshell Merchant for 20 Lagoon Lemonades, but the merchant only stocks the rod after you finish Captain Conch’s questline. The real time sink is the lemonades themselves, since each purchase sits behind a 15-minute cooldown.

Quick answer: Finish Captain Conch’s questline by catching the Flame Slasher, then buy one Lagoon Lemonade every 15 minutes until you hold 20, and exchange all 20 at the Sunshell Merchant.

What you need to unlock the Lemonade Serenade

Two things gate the rod. First, the Sunshell Merchant will not display it until Captain Conch’s questline is complete. Second, the only accepted payment is 20 Lagoon Lemonades, with no extra shell or coin cost attached at the stall.

This chain runs nine steps and ends at the Heart of the Island. Follow it in order, because the merchant stays empty until the final fight is won.

Talk to Captain Conch when Fischfest begins. This starts the chain and points you toward Marina.

Find Tim, Jim, and Kim, then complete Marina’s supply requests for crates and shells.
Win the beach minigames, which include the jet ski race and the sand-castle build-from-memory task. The bot tops out near 82 accuracy on the build, so beat that score to lock the win.

Catch the three Sun Slashers the referee asks for, including the large tropical variant.
Hear out the NPC about the Flame Slasher. He hands you the first pink conch and the Star Shell Rod you will use for the final catch.

Gather all seven colored conches: pink, blue, purple, green, orange, red, and yellow. You collect these from the minigames and from the drink lady’s random drinks, at roughly a 30% chance per drink.
Place all seven conches at the sand castle to open the Heart of the Island, then drop inside.

Catch the Flame Slasher with the Star Shell Rod. Expect a long fight.
Check the Sunshell Merchant. Beating the Flame Slasher rewards the Sun Hat Starfish Paradise Relic plus 5,000 Sunshells, and it makes the merchant stock the Lemonade Serenade.

Collect 20 Lagoon Lemonades fast

Lagoon Lemonades come from the lemonade vendor near the event area, and you buy them one at a time. Every purchase starts a fresh 15-minute cooldown before the next drink is available, so the math is fixed at 20 × 15 minutes, which is 300 minutes, or about five hours.

Five hours is the floor, not a typical result. The only way to hit it is to buy the instant each cooldown clears for the full stretch, and any missed window pushes your total out further. There is no item, currency, or trick that shortens or stacks the cooldown.

Tip: Set a real 15-minute timer and buy a drink the moment it ends. Stay in-game or rejoin periodically to check the vendor, and keep fishing the event area between purchases so the wait is not wasted.

Confirm the purchase worked

Once you hold all 20 Lagoon Lemonades, return to the Sunshell Merchant and exchange them for the rod. The trade consumes the drinks and adds the Lemonade Serenade to your inventory. If the rod is not listed at the merchant, the cause is almost always the same: Captain Conch’s questline is not finished, specifically, the Flame Slasher has not been caught yet. Complete that fight first, then begin buying lemonades.

Lemonade Serenade stats and passive

The rod carries infinite weight capacity, so it can reel in any fish, and it pairs well with size-boosting enchantments to push C$ gains through its passive. Its current values are below.

StatValue
Lure Speed100%
Luck230%
Control0.2
Resilience20%
Max Kginfkg
Disturbance+1
Line Distance125m
Progress Speed+40%

The passive is built around lemon mechanics. There is a 33% chance to apply Lemon (6.5×), and on reeling in a fish a 5% chance to fill the progress bar instantly, bypassing True Progress Speed. Every 30 seconds you also receive a fish mutated with Lemon, and each catch shaves 15 seconds off that timer, so the rod performs best while you are actively fishing. Holding an input squeezes the fishing bar for up to 2.5 seconds and releases drops of lemonade, adding +5% progress for a drop that lands on the bar and +1% for one that lands outside it.

An earlier release had lower numbers, including 150% Luck and +25% Progress Speed with a 20% Lemon rate. A later balance pass raised Luck to 230%, lifted Progress Speed to +40%, increased the Lemon rate to 33.33%, added +1 Disturbance, and introduced the new passive. The drink price and the Captain Conch requirement stayed the same across both versions.

There is no shortcut around the cooldown, so the fastest realistic path is to clear the Flame Slasher early in your session and then buy a Lagoon Lemonade on the dot every 15 minutes while you fish the event. Do that without missing a window, and you will be holding the Lemonade Serenade in roughly five hours.
