The first thing Cid asks for in Lineage Piece is two crowbars, and neither one shows up with a map marker. Both sit in fixed spots on the starter island (also called Dawnwind Village), so once you know where to look, the whole step takes a couple of minutes.
Quick answer: Grab Crowbar #1 under the tree behind the buildings near the lighthouse, in the corner of the village opposite the harbor. Grab Crowbar #2 on the beach to the left of the harbor/teleporter, beside a tall wooden pole. Both are visible even without the quest active.

The crowbars are static pickups. They spawn in the same place for every player, so you are dealing with a navigation problem rather than a boss fight or a locked door. Nothing here requires a key or combat.

Note: Crowbar #1 tends to hide in the shadow beneath the tree. Circle the trunk and check the base from a couple of angles instead of only scanning the open ground in front of it.
Fastest route to collect both crowbars
Tip: Many players miss Crowbar #2 because they sprint too far down the shoreline. It is close to the spawn-side coast, so check the near-left area by the pole before wandering further.
How to confirm the quest is done
The counter updates from (0/2) to (1/2) to (2/2) as you collect each crowbar. Once both are in, the quest completes on its own and pays out 3,000 Cash ($) and 325 Gold (G). You will then see the objective switch to the follow-up damage quest, “Taken 2.5M Damage.”
If a crowbar does not appear or the counter refuses to tick up, rejoin a fresh server, confirm the quest is active, and run the route again. Both spawns are consistent, so a clean server almost always resolves a missing pickup.
What Cid’s questline leads to
The crowbars are the opening step of Cid’s questline. After that, the damage objective is the second and final gate before the weapon unlocks. Clearing both parts lets you buy the Stylish Bandit Slayer from Cid for 150,000 Coins and 600 Gems.

Owning the weapon also opens the chance to get Cid’s Key from Level 1 Bandits, which unlocks the portal to Cid’s Castle Dungeon and sits on the path toward the Shadow weapon later. Clearing the crowbar step cleanly here keeps that longer grind moving without any early backtracking.
