Linko Skills in Neverness to Everness: How Synced Strikes Work

A full breakdown of Linko's Anima kit, from Hit 'Em Here! marks and Modulation to the Oversync Resonance Field.

A full breakdown of Linko’s Anima kit, from Hit ‘Em Here! marks and Modulation to the Oversync Resonance Field.

Linko is the S-rank Anima character joining Neverness to Everness in the back half of Version 1.3, and her entire kit is built around one idea. She fights with Xiaozhen, the ghost living inside her TV-shaped backpack, and Xiaozhen exists mostly to hand damage over to the rest of your team. Almost every button she presses ends with someone else swinging.

Quick answer: Xiaozhen tags an enemy with the Hit ‘Em Here! mark, and any Redirect Skill that lands on that mark consumes it to call in a Synced Strike. That strike counts as follow-up attack damage in the element of whoever performs it, but the numbers come from Linko’s own stats and her Support Skill level.

Linko’s element, Arc type, and combat role

She sits in the Burst DPS and Follow-up Attack category, which in practice means she is a main damage dealer who spends a lot of her rotation off-field. Her Arc compatibility is Plasma, so her weapon pool is shared with other Plasma users.

Hit ‘Em Here! marks and the three ways to trigger a Synced Strike

While Linko sits in the back of the party, she sends Xiaozhen out every 8 seconds to hit the target once and stamp it with the Hit ‘Em Here! mark. The mark lasts 10 seconds and only one can exist on the field at a time, so it is a rhythm rather than a resource you stack.

What happens next depends on who breaks it. If a teammate hits the marked enemy with their Redirect Skill, the mark is eaten and Linko herself is pulled in for the Synced Strike, generating Modulation and Cycle Energy on the way. If Linko is the one who consumes it, Xiaozhen swings instead.

Beyond the mark, Synced Strikes also come from her Redirect Skill, Full-Frequency Pulse, and from her Ultimate, Oversync. Three sources, one payoff.

Modulation, basic attacks, and the Full-Frequency Pulse wheel

Her basic attack chain, Poltergeist CQC, runs up to five hits of Anima damage and builds Modulation with every connection. Holding the button mid-chain triggers Poltergeist Rocket Punch!, where Xiaozhen slams the target with both palms. Tapping attack while airborne drops an AoE hit on landing that scales with fall height up to a doubled multiplier, and a successful perfect dodge opens Ghosthand Counter, which also feeds Modulation.

Modulation is not spent on damage directly. It is banked for Full-Frequency Pulse, her Redirect Skill, which bombards the target for up to four instances of Anima damage and then freezes time while a selection wheel appears. You pick a teammate or Xiaozhen, and that character performs the Synced Strike in their own element. Whatever Modulation you had built converts into a damage buff on that strike.

Xiaozhen always occupies the bottom slot of the wheel. If a teammate is unavailable or the slot is empty, Xiaozhen fills in for them, and each extra copy of Xiaozhen on the wheel makes her version of the Synced Strike hit harder.

Note: a standard Synced Strike does not set off Cycle Reactions on its own, and it borrows only the element of the character performing it, not their stats.

Oversync and the Resonance Field

Oversync is where the kit stops being a loop and becomes a burst window. Casting it puts Linko into an overdrive state and creates the Resonance Field, syncing her with up to three allies at once. Inside the field, tapping the Redirect Skill button calls those teammates in one after another for AoE Synced Strikes, up to three times.

When the overdrive ends, or if you cut it short, Linko discharges overload noise across the field for repeated AoE Anima damage plus a single large Anima burst. That burst starts at a 735.3% multiplier at level 1 and grows by 4% for every debuff sitting on the target, capping at five debuffs for a 20% bonus. Load the enemy with status effects before the field closes.

The field also outlives the overdrive state briefly, and while it lingers, Support Skills used by your party members count as Synced Strikes. That means they deal extra follow-up damage and pick up her passive bonuses.

Passives: Weakness Radar and Precision Tuning

Weakness Radar works from the roster screen. As long as Linko is in the party, the extra follow-up attack damage from the Hexed effect goes up by 30%, and enemies suffering from Hexed take 10% more follow-up attack damage. She does not need to be on the field for either half.

Precision Tuning is the reason she slots into teams of any element. Every Synced Strike shreds 8% of the target’s anomaly resistance to the element of the character who performed it, for 12 seconds. Different elemental shreds stack together on the same enemy, while repeating the same element simply refreshes its timer.

Her Support Skill, Poltergeist Left Straight Punch!, is a single AoE Anima hit on its own, but its level sets the damage multiplier for every Synced Strike she calls in. It is the least flashy skill in the kit and one of the most important to level.

Awakening nodes A1 to A6

Awakenings are unlocked with duplicates, listed in game order, and you can freely swap between the ones you own. Exact percentages on several nodes have moved between test builds, so treat the values below as directional rather than final.

NodeEffect
A1Shortens the interval between her off-field Xiaozhen ambushes, so marks appear more often
A2Raises the multiplier on the Anima burst at the end of Oversync
A3Refreshes the cooldown of Full-Frequency Pulse
A4Inside the Resonance Field, every Synced Strike adds an extra AoE Anima hit at a 100% multiplier, and that hit can itself consume a mark to chain another Synced Strike
A5Lets Synced Strikes from Full-Frequency Pulse trigger Esper Cycle reactions, with a flat damage bonus when the chosen teammate cannot react with Linko
A6Gives every party member’s Synced Strike 25% CRIT Rate and makes teammates’ Synced Strikes generate energy

Separate from those nodes, collecting copies of her also unlocks Resonances. Three copies add a level to Poltergeist Left Straight Punch!, Full-Frequency Pulse, and Oversync, while six copies extend the Resonance Field duration and hand the whole team an Anima and Incantation damage bonus while it is up.

Voice of the Voyager and Arc alternatives

Her signature Plasma Arc, Voice of the Voyager, is written around the Synced Strike loop. It carries CRIT Rate as its substat, boosts ATK, adds a large chunk of Support Skill CRIT DMG, and stacks Ultimate CRIT DMG each time a Support Skill lands. Inside the Resonance Field, where team Support Skills count as Synced Strikes, those stacks come quickly.

Without it, Ready-Ready is the strongest non-signature choice thanks to its CRIT Rate substat and a bonus that stacks off Redirect Skill and Ultimate casts, both of which she presses constantly. Raging Flames is the biggest raw stat stick, with the highest S-rank base ATK and CRIT DMG, even though part of its passive does nothing for her.

For Cartridges, Fireflies and the Forest is the natural set. Two pieces raise Anima DMG, and the four-piece grants CRIT DMG each time a nearby enemy takes Anima damage from your team, stacking up to seven times with a 10-second window per stack. Because she deals Anima damage off-field, keeping those stacks up is not demanding. Prioritize CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, then Anima DMG.

Teams that make use of Synced Strikes

She wants teammates who either fire off follow-up attacks themselves or lean on the Hexed reaction, which triggers when enemies take Anima or Incantation damage.

Pre-farm materials for Linko

Two materials carry the bulk of her upgrade cost, and both come from repeatable activities you can grind before she arrives. Fully building her runs to roughly 2.69 million Beetle Coin across ascension and skills.

Skill priority runs Redirect Skill first, then Ultimate, then Basic Attack, with her Support Skill worth pushing early too given it sets the Synced Strike multiplier.

Rocket headbutt traversal, life skills, and outfits

Out of combat, holding the basic attack button has Linko wind up against Xiaozhen’s ghost arms like a slingshot. Charge for up to 2 seconds and release, and she launches forward and upward. Across Hethereau it is a genuinely fast alternative to gliding.

Her two life skills are city economy bonuses. Kitchen Fantasy increases foot traffic at Cafe Origen, and Urge to Share raises the Fons you earn from showcases.

On the cosmetic side, Faded Spring is a Mall purchase, Surfing Among Stars comes from her Skin Perks event once you accumulate enough rolls, and Couch Potato unlocks at Bond Level 10. She also has a Xiaozhen ghost glider and a bicycle mount to go with them.

Everything here comes from test-server builds, so multipliers and node values can still shift before she goes live. The shape of the kit, though, has been consistent throughout. Linko is a character you build for crit and Support Skill level, then let the rest of the team cash the damage in.
