The story: Enzo, Salieri, and winter 1905
The expansion is set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, a few months after Enzo is initiated into the Torrisi crime family. The Don sends Enzo and Cesare to assist Ennio Salieri, a man of honor freshly out of prison and determined to reclaim what he lost. From there, Enzo is pulled deeper into the underworld of the Valle Dorata, where debts get settled and loyalty is tested.
The Salieri connection is the hook for longtime fans. This is the same character who becomes Don Salieri, the central antagonist of the original Mafia, so Man of Honor plays as a direct prequel thread woven into The Old Country. The two new chapters slot into the existing campaign rather than sitting apart from it.
If you own the DLC, you can reach these chapters while playing through the main campaign once you hit the right story point, or launch them directly after meeting the necessary conditions. Specific story beats are being kept under wraps until launch.
New Free Ride jobs and challenges
Most of the open-world content runs through Salieri, who operates from a warehouse in Porto Almaró and hands Enzo new work. This content is exclusive to Man of Honor and expands the existing Free Ride mode. It splits into two buckets: Jobs and Challenges.
Jobs are individual contracts. Examples include breaking into a citrus orchard, taking out rival whiskey smugglers, cracking safes, stealing trucks and high-value cars, and moving stolen goods before rival smugglers intercept them. Expect firefights and getaways while thieves try to grab your cargo.
Challenges are tougher, higher-difficulty versions of the existing Free Ride challenge structure. They come in five types: standoffs, assassinations, circuit races, street sprints, and time trials. Completing activities pays out Dinari, the in-game currency you spend on new gear.
The Valle Dorata also gets new collectibles and hidden locations to find, including wanted posters, stunt jumps, and sulfur-carrying trucks you can destroy.
New weapons, vehicles, and cosmetics
Man of Honor adds gear you can buy with Dinari or find while exploring. The haul includes three weapons, three knives, five talismans, three vehicles, two horses, three outfits, and five hats.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| High-capacity pump-action shotgun | Holds ten rounds |
| Precisione Speciale | Rifle that can fire explosive rounds |
| Modello Speciale | New firearm added with the expansion |
| Rimbalzu | Throwing knife that ricochets to a second target |
| Dolce Morte | Talisman that makes defeated enemies occasionally drop fruit that restores health and grants extra Dinari |
Alongside the combat gear, the new vehicles, horses, and cosmetics give you fresh reasons to keep playing after the two story chapters wrap. Working through the added content also unlocks new achievements.
How to get it and what you need
You need Mafia: The Old Country installed to play Man of Honor. Once the expansion is live on August 14, buy it on your platform of choice for $10, and load into either the main campaign to hit the new chapters in sequence or jump straight in after meeting the story requirements. Free Ride jobs and challenges become available through Salieri in Porto Almaró.
No regional pricing for UK or EU markets has been confirmed yet, though a straight dollar conversion lands the DLC in the £8 to £9 range. Everything above is confirmed for the August 14 launch, with the finer story details staying quiet until the expansion is out.
