What arrives on launch day (September 11)

The season opens with Gorr the God Butcher joining the roster as a melee-focused Duelist. He wields the shape-shifting All-Black Necrosword, summons Black Berserkers from enemies he kills, and repositions using Symbiote Assimilation. His Ultimate turns the weapon into the Annihilablade, commanding every active Black Berserker at once. For the first time in the game’s history, only one new hero launches with a season, as the team shifts focus toward later Path to Doomsday content.

Alongside Gorr, day one brings a Loki-themed event, a new Battle Pass, an accessory, and three costumes.

  • New event: The Tetrameron
  • New Battle Pass: The Godbomb
  • New accessory: Family Portrait Tablet
  • Costumes: Gorr the God Butcher “Divine Destroyer”, Cloak and Dagger “Pajama Party”, Emma Frost “Glittering Goddess”

Loki is currently listed as missing in-game and is disabled in modes such as Quick Play and Practice vs. AI, while remaining available in competitive and social modes. That marked-missing state is a deliberate build-up to Gorr, whose story revolves around hunting gods.

Season 10.5 release date (October 9)

Season 10 concludes on October 9, 2026, and Season 10.5 goes live the same day. Unlike a full season, the mid-season update does not add a new hero. Instead, NetEase releases two new game modes tied to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame as Phases 3 and 4 of the Path to Doomsday event. Details on how each mode plays have not been shared yet.

Rank reset at Season 10 launch

Because Season 10 is a full season, competitive ranks drop by six divisions, equal to two full tiers. End-of-season rewards are tied to your peak rank rather than your current one, so reaching a given division still earns its skin even if you fall below it afterward.

Season 9 finishSeason 10 starting rank
Celestial IIIDiamond III
Grandmaster IPlatinum I
Diamond IIGold II
Platinum IIISilver III
Gold IIIBronze III

Season 10 also rewrites the competitive ban rules. Double bans are gone, replaced by a turn-based voting system where each team bans a character in sequence. The new ban flow remains available to players ranked Gold 3 and above. With Gorr arriving and balance changes touching more than 70% of the roster, the launch on September 11 marks one of the biggest resets to the meta since the game released.
