Cargo is useful, but dock storage matters far less if you sell ore regularly instead of letting it stockpile. If you notice a specific bottleneck, fix that stat directly. Slow block breaking means upgrade Mining Power; constant trips to base mean upgrade Cargo; drones flying more than mining means upgrade Speed.
Note: You can also raise your permanent Luck stat with cash. Buy Luck upgrades before a long rolling session to improve your odds of landing a better drone.

Every time you discover a new drone, your index fills in a little more, and hitting milestones grants permanent cash bonuses that lift your earnings for the rest of your run. Open it whenever you unlock a drone you have not seen before to check for another lasting reward.
Aliens are companions that grant passive bonuses. Some raise drone speed, some boost mining speed, and others add extra income. You get them by placing a shiny relic in the center area and interacting with it, or by catching wild ones. Slot your strongest alien onto a platform to activate its effect.
During UFO weather, fly around the map collecting UFO shards. Bank enough and they convert into UFO tokens, which you spend in the UFO shop on alien balls, the item used to catch wild aliens. Catch one, place it on a platform, and its bonus goes live. Other players chase the same shards, so a faster jetpack makes the event much easier to clear.
When to evolve your planet
Evolving your planet unlocks rarer, higher-value ore. Mining Azurite, for example, becomes mining Aurum after an upgrade, which raises both your active and offline cash. The catch is that evolving resets your progress, so timing matters.
Hold off until you have maxed the stats and equipment you can afford and your income clearly stalls. At that point, save cash toward the evolution so the new planet does not slow you down right after the reset. Do not over-invest in a low-tier world; once upgrades stop moving the needle, evolving is the better spend.
