Minecraft Dungeons II builds its campaign around a soul-rich dimension called The Sift, which the Illager High Council rips open after the events of the first game. The story pushes you through a chain of major boss fights, from corrupted versions of familiar mobs to giant material-themed constructs, ending with a mechanical titan called the Monstrous Opus. Each headline fight comes with a named boss bar and a rare achievement.
Quick answer: The campaign’s boss run moves through the Soul Corrupted Witch, the Deep Dark Warden, the Twisted Warden, the Copper Monstrosity, the Prime Enchanter, the Sculk Monstrosity, the Monarch, the Redstone Monstrosity, and the final Monstrous Opus.

The Sift and the Illager High Council
The whole conflict starts when Illagers uncover a portal into The Sift, a dimension packed with souls, and form the Illager High Council to exploit it. That intrusion is what corrupts familiar Overworld enemies and spawns the monstrosities you fight throughout the campaign. Defeating the final boss seals the Sift portal with a soul cube, restoring peace across dimensions before you return to the Brave Haven hub.
Minecraft Dungeons II released on September 29, 2026 for Windows, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Sift itself is a new dimension for the Dungeons sub-series, reached through a Deep Dark portal.
Every campaign boss in order
The story runs its bosses in a set sequence, with a few standard enemies and mini-bosses filling the gaps between them. Here is the order the campaign presents them, along with the achievement each headline fight unlocks.
| Boss | Setting | Achievement |
|---|---|---|
| Soul Corrupted Witch | Corruption in the Woods | — |
| Warden | Deep Dark | — |
| Twisted Warden | Deep Dark | Twisted Madness |
| Copper Monstrosity | Rainy plains | Copper Stopper |
| Prime Enchanter | Frozen Highlands route | Past Their Prime |
| Sculk Monstrosity | Sculk meadow | Worked Like a Talisman |
| Monarch | The Sift | Regicide |
| Redstone Monstrosity | The Final Souldown | — |
| Monstrous Opus | Final experiment | Monstrous Crescendo |

The corrupted enemies and early fights
Soul Corrupted Witch
The first named boss follows a cutscene that introduces corrupted illager magic during the “Corruption in the Woods” quest. Before the fight, the objective asks you to investigate a cauldron, then to defeat the Witch herself. It sets the tone for the soul-corrupted variants that keep reappearing across the campaign.

Warden and Twisted Warden
The Deep Dark section has you descend an abyss and confront a standard Warden, which functions as a mini-boss here rather than a full boss. Shortly after, the corrupted version, the Twisted Warden, steps up as a true boss encounter. Beating it unlocks the Twisted Madness achievement, one of the rarer trophies in the game.

The monstrosities: Copper, Sculk, and Redstone
Copper Monstrosity
On the rainy plains, the Supreme Evoker animates a mass of copper blocks into a giant construct. The arena fight against the Copper Monstrosity mixes lightning strikes with heavy melee attacks. Clearing it awards Copper Stopper.

Sculk Monstrosity
After navigating overgrown sculk areas and fighting Soul Corrupted Sentinels, you reach a massive Sculk Monstrosity in a sculk meadow. This is one of the three bosses tied to The Sift dimension. Defeating it grants Worked Like a Talisman.

Redstone Monstrosity
Late in the campaign, during “The Final Souldown,” you face the Redstone Monstrosity. It throws flames and spawns magma, making it a heavy-hitting construct in the same family as its copper counterpart. It leads directly into the game’s finale.

The spellcaster and flying bosses
The Prime Enchanter
A cutscene introduces the levitating Prime Enchanter before the fight begins. The battle leans on spells, teleportation, and summoned enemies, so you spend as much time chasing the boss as trading blows. It carries the Past Their Prime achievement, one of the rarest in the game at a fraction of a percent unlock rate.

Monarch
The Monarch is a multi-phase flying boss that spawns echo clones of itself, listed on-screen as “Monarch Echo.” It is the ruler-tier encounter among The Sift’s three bosses. Bringing it down unlocks Regicide, which sits among the game’s lowest completion rates.
Monstrous Opus: The final boss
The campaign’s final chapter is the Monstrous Opus. Earlier dialogue delves into the council’s opus mechanism, before the Supreme Evoker climbs aboard and merges with it to create a gigantic mechanical titan. To win, stay alive through its sweeping lasers, artillery barrages, and crushing slams, landing damage whenever you can.
Once the Monstrous Opus falls, Monstrous Crescendo unlocks and the ending cinematic begins: the soul cube seals the Sift portal as the villages celebrate. Reaching the Brave Haven epilogue is tied to another rare achievement, Defender of Dimensions.
What unlocks after the final fight
Sealing the Sift is not the end of the game. Returning to the Brave Haven camp opens up post-game rewards and endgame systems, giving you reasons to keep playing past the story.
- Soul Storms
- Rifts & Dungeons
- Echo Shards
At the blacksmith, Echo Shards let you reroll an item’s effects. This keeps valuable boss drops useful: even a weapon with an unwanted roll can be changed rather than discarded. Alongside Soul Storms and the Rifts & Dungeons system, this gear loop gives you a reason to return after finishing the campaign’s boss run.
