Death is one of the stranger sweethearts in Moonlight Peaks. Instead of a scythe-wielding menace, it turns up in town wearing a tropical shirt and a lei, taking a break from the job in the cozy vampire town. You can befriend it, gift it, and eventually marry it, and it also hands you the Net that starts the Soul Blob hunt.
Quick answer: Find Death at its house in the center of town, down by the water, then raise hearts by giving it Black azalea flowers (its loved gift). Reach eight hearts to unlock marriage.
Who Death is in Moonlight Peaks
Death is exactly what the name suggests, a skeletal figure in a long black robe, but written as a laid-back holidaymaker who picked Moonlight Peaks for a rest. It has no surname, no clan, and no family ties, which sets it apart from the town’s seven families. That also means there is no birthday to track, so you never need to plan a birthday gift for it.

Add to Google Preferences →Where to find Death
Death lives in the center of town, down by the water. Its home sits near the docks, and you will often spot it standing in the window at the front of the house. That window is the most reliable place to catch it when you want to hand over a gift or raise your friendship.
You do not have to search it out first. Early in the game, Death seeks you out, introduces itself, and mentions the lost Soul Blobs scattered around town. That introduction is also when the collection task begins, so meeting Death is part of the normal early story flow rather than something you can miss.
Best gifts for Death
The fastest way to build hearts is the loved gift. Death loves Black azalea flowers, so plant azaleas and aim for the black colour to keep a steady supply. Beyond that one favourite, Death likes a wide spread of everyday farm goods, which makes it an easy character to keep happy.
| Reaction | Gifts |
|---|---|
| Loves | Black azalea flowers |
| Likes | Homemade juice, honey, beer, wine and other drinks, berries and similar crops, purple flowers, forageables like mushrooms, cupcakes and other desserts |
| Dislikes | None found so far |
Note: No disliked gift has turned up for Death yet, so there is little risk of losing friendship by handing it the wrong thing. Save your Black azaleas for the daily gift to squeeze the most out of each interaction.

How to romance and marry Death
Death is a full romance option, not just a friendly face. You raise hearts the same way you do with the vampires, werewolves and mermaids, by talking to it regularly and giving gifts it likes. Keep the Black azaleas flowing and the relationship climbs steadily.
Marriage unlocks once you reach eight hearts. Hit that threshold and you can propose, making Death your spouse for the rest of the save. Because it has no birthday or family events to juggle, the path is mostly about consistent daily gifting until the eight-heart mark.
The Net, Soul Blobs and clock rewards
Death is also the gate for one of the town’s main collection systems. During its town unlock event, it gives you the Net and asks you to catch the 100 Soul Blobs scattered across eligible areas. Catching every one completes the Skulls in a Net achievement.
The unlock ties into Death’s early Ambrosia and town event chain. The clearest story marker is reaching The Dinner Party in the Ambrosia Mansion storyline. After that, keep entering the Ambrosia area and returning to town over the following nights, and the Soul Blob event will fire, handing you the Net.
Death rewards you at collection milestones with an Antique Clock, which lets you slow the passage of night. The first clock arrives the day after the milestone, delivered when you next leave your house.
| Soul Blobs caught | Reward |
|---|---|
| 20 | Antique Clock (delivered the next day after you leave your house) |
| 50 | Antique Clock |
| 100 | Antique Clock, plus the Skulls in a Net achievement |
Whether you are chasing the marriage or just the night-length clocks, the routine is the same. Visit Death at its window by the docks, keep a stack of Black azaleas ready, and work through the Soul Blob hunt as areas load. Do that consistently and both the eight-heart wedding and the full 100-blob reward will fall into place.
