Following Orders, the campaign’s third assignment for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, puts you in control of a North Korean soldier searching village homes for contraband and a missing defector. The mission has two trophies, No Harm Done and No Stone Unturned. They can both be earned in one run: search thoroughly and don’t harm any civilians.
Quick answer: In the first house, collect all four contraband items and two notes, then pick the peaceful dialogue lines. In the third house, find two more notes, including one in a hidden cellar.
No Harm Done and No Stone Unturned requirements
Both trophies are worth 50 Gamerscore on Xbox and show up as Silver trophies on PlayStation. Difficulty isn’t a factor here. Recruit works fine for both.
| Trophy | Condition | Where it pops |
|---|---|---|
| No Harm Done | Learn where the defector is while keeping every civilian unharmed | First house, during the interrogation |
| No Stone Unturned | Confiscate all contraband and read all notes | Third house, in the cellar |
The mission has four notes and four contraband items. Here’s where each one is.
| Collectible | House | Spot |
|---|---|---|
| Note 1/4 “Note From Your Friend” + heart medicine | First | Red toolbox, first room on the right |
| Illegal South Korean medicine | First | Bathroom wall cabinet |
| Western novel | First | Upper cabinet, room on the left |
| Note 2/4 “Baekseolgi-tteok Recipe” | First | Kitchen cabinet |
| Extra rations | First | Kitchen cabinet next to the note |
| Note 3/4 “Note From Your Neighbor” | Third | Cabinet beside the bed, right bedroom |
| Note 4/4 “Note From Mom” | Third | Wooden shelf in the kitchen cellar |
The second house has nothing to pick up. You can follow your squadmate Ko straight through it.

Add to Google Preferences →First house: contraband and notes 1–2
Search the whole house before you talk to anyone. The medicine you confiscate opens up the dialogue line that gets the husband talking without force. If you question him first, that option won’t exist.

The recipe lists 2kg of rice flour, 1L of water, and 4 packs of raisins. Those amounts give you the toolbox code, 214. Read the note beforehand and you can unlock the toolbox without shooting.
No Harm Done dialogue choices
The couple has to be questioned over two dialogue menus each. The game lists aggressive options next to the peaceful ones, so pick carefully.
| Menu | Options shown | Pick |
|---|---|---|
| Wife, first | “Run while you can.” / “Comply or I can hurt you.” / “Please join your husband.” | “Please join your husband.” |
| Wife, second | “I will not ask again.” / “Then why did you run?” / “If you are loyal, you are safe.” | “I will not ask again.” |
| Husband, first | “Ask about rations” / “Ask about MP3 player” / “Ask about novel” / “Ask about South Korean medicine” | “Ask about South Korean medicine” |
| Husband, second | “Where is the defector hiding?” / “Give up the defector. Now.” | “Give up the defector. Now.” |

Don’t shoot, strike, or threaten either of them at any point during the search or the interrogation. You don’t have to finish the mission for this one; it pops the moment the location is revealed.
Third house: notes 3–4 and the hidden cellar
After passing through the vacant second house, follow Ko to house three and wait for him to break down the door. Everything else required for No Stone Unturned is inside.
You have to pull the woman out instead of leaving her hidden. The last note is in the cellar where she’s hiding, and it’s the collectible people miss most often.
Confirming both trophies and fixing a missed unlock
Keep an eye out for two notifications. “No Harm Done” appears in the first house as soon as the husband reveals the defector’s location, well before you reach the second house. In the cellar, “No Stone Unturned” appears when the counter reaches NOTES FOUND: 4/4; this is the final task on this route.
If No Harm Done didn’t pop, it’s usually one of these:
- You questioned the husband before confiscating the medicine, so the peaceful line wasn’t available.
- A civilian got hurt during the search or the interrogation.
- You picked a violent or threatening response instead of the medicine line.
- The husband never actually revealed where the defector was.
Reload the checkpoint from before the first-house interrogation, or replay Following Orders, then collect the medicine first and use the exact lines above. If No Stone Unturned didn’t pop at the cellar note, you’re almost certainly missing one of the four pickups in the first house. Go back and check each contraband item, and make sure you pulled the hiding woman out before reading the final note.
